http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yOKoc3SR0I I don't know dubstep very well, but I do know I'm seeing Bassnectar in November and think it'll be rad. |

One of my favourite Zomby tracks get such a Burial vibe from it, always gets me thinking about the idea that Burial and Zomby are the same person.
Zomby - Test Me For A Reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqqcJPzV8uo Oh and iTunes has the previews up for Magnetic Mans album. |

Okay, I'm going to list a few of my favorite artists for the folk that are just getting into dubstep! I DJ/Produce the stuff as already mentioned, this makes me very critical of production values of tunes n that so expect ONLY THE BEST :) in my own honest opinion.
Brutal/Disgusting/Grimey Chasing Shadows - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uml6LlTYPoo Datsik - www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2lH8_fIsd0 Bare Noize - www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VCBTD-XiNA 16bit - www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4TMnhJF9PM Culprate - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jal5jWHU2io Jakez - www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUpg-Aw1V_E (wait till 1.22 :|) Bar 9 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V2hMHeigZ0 Downlink - www.youtube.com/watch?v=zztu_P588n4 (AWWW SHEEEEET) Theres a couple to get you started with, more or less all these artists make other side of the spectrum dubstep aswell which is just fantastic, especially 16bit. Chilled/Deep/Dub Mala - www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE7_Yk9QafU Skream - www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYbjen1P1nk Digital Mystikz - www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVpjPuzlvus Kromestar - www.youtube.com/watch?v=81zjFAgNF3w 12th Planet - www.youtube.com/watch?v=E51G60XHtLg Some of these guys also produce some brutal/ketstep shit aswell. Anything related to these guys in youtube n that will more than likely be good aswell :) might update my post later on but i'm sure this'l help for now!

I saw a Wu Tang dubstep album mentioned on this page so I downloaded that but I'm fiending for some more dubstep on top of rapping. There is some cool songs on youtube that are pretty well done but if anyone can point me towards albums that would be appreciated. I am into stuff that is reworked, like the Wu Tang, AND rappers I don't know of, as long as they are good. :D

I was never into electronic/dance music really so after checking out this thread I finally got to hear about this music I've read about (I visit /b/ from time to time and always see dub step post)
It's not bad, kinda liked a lot of it. When I was younger I will admit in the late 90's everyone got into raves/electronic music. Seriously, I think 80% of my highschool bought DJ equipment, UFO pants, and did E and gave back rubs and had homosexual experiences. Only shit I ever liked, a lot, was what I think was called Jungle or Ragga Jungle. I would do the weekly travel to NY and Philly but was never into the music, only thing I liked was pot, beer, acid and Jungle. I was always into reggae so I knew about Cutty, Ninja, Mega, etc.. so when I heard Ragga Jungle I was mine blown. Still have no idea who made the music, being in my 30's now I don't even know if they make it or anyone listens to it anymore :/ Edit: Found some! I used to love this song and actually seen this guy perform in Philly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qLAt...e_gdata_player

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not but http://di.fm has added a Dubstep channel. I noticed it popped up a while ago but forgot to mention it.

Going through some of this thread and enjoying plenty of the tracks. I've also had Mt Eden on my iPod for a while.
I'd like to get into more dubstep but I feel like it's so hard to download stuff. Every time I find a good song on youtube or streaming on a site, it's a chore to find the mp3. |

I really like Burial but I think I'm a little behind with what's new (old before my time).
I used to be into DnB and Breaks back when I was 18 and used to go raving, but I haven't really stepped foot in a club for a good few years now :lol Will use this thread to get up to speed. I'm ashamed to admit that I can't get that Katy on a Mission tune out of my head - not sure if that's even considered Dubstep but it's obviously very commercial if it is. |

Just put that on and enjoy, then start looking up each separate song in it on youtube or something, follow through on some related videos, or follow up on some artists that sound good, and soon you'll find a ton of good dubstep if you're new to the genre. |
