The best videogame Cannon Fodder
#1
![]() This is a list we made of the best of the endless hoards of minions that videogaming's evils throw at the protagonists. Thought it'd be fun to share. http://www.videogamesblogger.com/200...f-all-time.htm Thanks to Phil for making the top 10 list I forgot: 10. Prinnies (Disgaea) 9. Gangs/Thugs (Final Fight, Double Dragon, etc.) 8. Koopas and Goombas (Super Mario series) 7. Springfield (Simpsons games) 6. Stormtroopers (Star Wars games) 5. The Foot Clan (TMNT) 4. Sentinels (X-Men games) 3. Nazis 2. Ninjas 1. Zombies Are any missing? Last edited by Supa : 05-25-2009 at 11:48 PM. |

I actually quite like the grunts in the Halo series. Adorable little aliens with funny banter in cute voices as they're trying to kill you, sometimes with suicide grenades. There's a skull in Halo 3 that triggers fireworks whenever you headshot one of them, with the sound of cheering children in the background.

I would go with the soldiers of MGS2. You can scare them, torture them, torture then scare them with no means of escape
, watch them sleeping, reading nudie magazines, listening to the music player, and taking a piss. |

OK, that newsletter layer ad was pretty annoying.
Also, no mention of the Lemmings and/or Worms? I thought they'd show up for sure. The latter most definitely constitute cannon fodder. ... would Rabbids count too? I wonder. |

Had it on GBC. The intro may be pre-rendered, but it amazed me back in the day. |
