Goozex| Love It & Use It!
#1
So I just signed up for Goozex and after ome searching on the points given for each game it seems like a ripoff. You can spend $15.00 and buy 1200 points. A game like COD4 is equal to 700 points which is about $9.00 give or take. I would guess you could get atleast 2x that by selling it. Am I wrong? For those who use the dervice what are your impressions?

It can take longer to get newer games if you don't add the new games to your queue immediately when it enters the system. |

Goozex is fantastic, way better than getting legit ripped off at Gamestop. You have to be patient to get what you want, but it's worth it.

Sayswap is the ripoff. It's like Goozex, but nobody ever trades shit. I've had free points on Sayswap sit there for months because nobody was willing to send me anything.
Not Goozex, though. The one or two times I've had points for Goozex, I usually get my game immediately. |

It's a great service because you'll dealing directly with other games. No middle man or anything. Most of the games I've gotten through the service arrived in good shape, too. Of course it varies from user to user, but I can't see myself trading in my games to GameStop ever again.
I bought Dragon Ball Burst Limit from a fellow gaffer for like $10 and I traded it for 600 Goozex points...the equivalent of $30. I used those points towards acquiring Little Big Planet. So if you're shrewd, you can literally turn junk into great games. |

I've used Goozex for about 10 months now. Was caution at first but once you get used to the system it's an excellent way of cycling through games.
I've received 24 games in that time, 90% of them in excellent condition, 1 with a cracked case and a few with fingerprints that were easily cleaned off. It might take a few weeks to get a new release but I've had a good experience so far. If your really a gaming nut you should compliment it with the other trade sites. Gametz and swaptree. I traded Haze for Assassin's Creed on GameTz, traded that for Bionic Commando on swaptree and Bionic Commando for 1000 points on goozex which I got Infamous. Completed that game and traded it for Prototype on Gametz. So 1 crappy $10 got my through 5 other games and it's still going once I get prototype beat on hard. That's just one example, I average about a trade a week between all 3 sites. Only bought 2 games new this year |

Goozex was the best way of getting rid of all my old games for sure, got a good number of points now ready to spend on whatever once I'm through with FFVII. My only 'bad' experience was never getting Bully because of address confusion when I was moving and not having the time to get it from the Post Office. But, because hardly any money has traded hands I'm hardly sore from it.

Delivery Comfirmation then is only 19cents. You can print the labels out and ship them from anywhere instead of wasting time at the post office. You'll save money and time that way. Most Games will fall than between 1.94-2.24$, 4-6oz The system works like this You are not receiving games from Goozex, You're doing it from other members. There are no games from Goozex. :lol So even if you have the 1000points for Beatles Rock Band. You will not receive the game till another game wants to trade it. When it's you're turn in line, and someone offering the game. The system will match you two. The seller pays shipping, and you pay with a trade credit(The 50cent-1$ things you have to buy from Goozex) and the amount of points(The points go to him them). It is the same with offers, except you pay for shipping. You have to wait till there is a request for your game. The first compliant I normally hear is, Why do I have to pay for shipping. It doesn't seem worth it. Best example I could give is that even with the cheapest games(100pointers). If you spend 2.25$ each on shipping them to Acquire 1000points. It's will end up being 22.50$ to get any game in the system. Meaning, I just received Killzone 2 the other day for 22.50$+A bunch of Games that wouldn't have got me more than 2$ each at most from Ebay or Amazon. And let's say I don't want to keep Killzone 2, I can trade it back in then. Hopefully for the same amount of points(But if the supply ends up out ranking the demand too much, the points it's cost will slowly decrease by 50 per week. Till it picks up again). I just have to pay 2.25 again to ship the game and look...I have 1000points again and all I spent was 2.25$. I'm going to get in Line for Red Faction now, and the same happens all over again. On getting points, Either trade in games you don't want. Ones you have but have no intent to ever play again. Or do what is called "Flipping". Take Little King's Story last week on Amazon Lighting Deal. 25$ shipped to you. It's worth 900points on Goozex(45$, or the best way to put it. 100points shy of acquire any game which isn't a special edition or comes with add ons). There is absolutely no reason to buy points directly from the system unless they have a sale going on for about 50% off, because you can normally trade games for 50-60% the listing price. The only absolute must for the site is to have patience, Understand this clearly, just because you have 1000 points doesn't not get you the game. There must be a trader willing to trade it, and you have to be in front of the Queue. There will always be a long wait for new games unless you're there when they put them up. And even than it depends on the game. Batman already has about 70-80 trades in the system in 2weeks. Red Faction III had about 10 in the first month. The best way to get high up in line on new releases is to be on at Midnight on Mondays(CST, 1am EST). The queue for the games go live then. You'll normally score a spot in the 100's than regardless. Also, the very rare older games. Normally you're shit out of luck with. It's hard to get someone to trade Tactics Orge Let Us Cling Together, or Sud II. The points do not go past 1000, so most would rather sell those on Ebay. And if you go in there thinking I'm going get rid of all my old games like GTAIII or Metal Gear Solid 2. Probably going take a while if ever, Most of those have dozens of others offering them and not many wanting them. The bulk of the trading goes on with Current gen systems and not last gen. Not to say don't be discourage. Plenty of trading still goes on with them. They just don't go at the same speed as Current. Quick picture explaining the trade menu. I have more to say, but I'm tired :lol

Great tips and advice shintoki
Another thing I always do is throw anything I even remotely want in my queue as soon as it's in the system. If I'm not sure I want it or don't want it yet I'll put it on on hold. That way people that request it after you are behind you in line. So when/if you activate it you wont have as long of a wait. When I receive any game I throw it in my offers and put it on hold at the same time. So when I want to trade it I can get rid of it pretty quick while it's still worth the most points. I started out trading my old PS2, Xbox and GC games to build up points, I still do when they are requested but I trade so often once I clear a game from my backlog It goes up on all 3 sites and wait for the offer. |

Goozex is wonderful. I get reasonable trade value for my games, the selection of available games is really good (not considering really new games of course), and most people ship quickly.
Games will not always come in like new condition. If you're using it for bolstering your game collection, it's probably not the way you want to go. If you're looking for a way to keep up with games released >6 months ago, it's wonderful. Play through a game a time or two, then put it up for trade and get a new one. I love it. |

Goozex is where it's at. Sometimes I will buy 100-200 points, whichever it is, if I need it to get something I want, but for the most part I've traded close to 30 games on there and received 20 or so, many of them newer games. Just have patience and play and trade. That's how it's supposed to be :)
In terms of condition of the games I've never had an issue; well one game I got, Viewtiful Joe for GC, came without a case/instructions. Even the older PS2 games I've received have been in pristine condition. |

From what I've read from past Goozex threads, is that, you will like it if:
A) You're cheap B) You're patient and in no hurry to play a shit load of games all at once C) You're not nit picky about the condition of your games I'm none of those. Goozex isn't for me. :lol |

Goozex has been a god send since I don't really have all that much time to play games (3 kids under 5) and thus can't justify going out and popping $60 for a game that will take me months to get around to finishing. It has allowed me to get rid of a lot of old games and and it's great for picking up titles a few months from launch - especially those that do a lot of sales.
Here's my best Goozex tip (not sure if I should even share this): The day a game launches, put it in your queue and put it on hold. You will hold your place in line and still move up in the queue. When you're ready for the game or it drops in point value to where you want to get it, you should be near the top of the queue and can just activate it and find a quick match. I just got Infamous and there are 3 or 4 games (DMC4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Fallout 3) where I am #1 in the queue. Right now I don't have time to play those games, but I know when I'm ready for them I'll get them pretty much right away. I'm pretty sure you can also do this for games you want to get rid of - that way if you just got something that you know will have a lot of copies out there and eventually outstrip demand, you can still get a spot for first "sale" when you're ready to get rid of it. |

Place is well known for people lieing. Ive personally had bad experiences myself with requesting the game to have everything. and ill end up just getting the case with disc and no manual.
There is the chance you will get a brand new game with the wrap still on it. Which was a nice thing to have happen but you take your chances i guess. Flip a coin basically. Or hit up gamestop to see for yourself. |

I love goozex and use it all the time, it's really great if there are some last season games that you'd like to pick up. I wanted to sell fallout 3 and saw that I could only get around 25 bucks for it on eBay, probably less at gamestop, I checked goozex and saw that it was trading for 800 points which is 40 bucks, so now I can turn around and get some pretty decent games with those points, well worth it I think. Shipping costs are low and we have a mail drop off a my office so it all works out pretty well.

SP games get traded fast and a lot, so you have better chances at getting stuff like Bioshock and Assasin's Creed than CODs and Halos. |

Yeah, Goozex is the shit. I got, like, 3 free games before paying or trading anything in! (That was a year ago, or so, when they were running mad specials.)
Metroid Prime, Super Monkey Ball, and some game for the DS. Maybe Picross or something. |
