Physical contact with guy friends
#1
I find that even though some of my friends I would consider to be really good friends of mine (guys), it can sometimes be awkward to get comfortable with making gestures of friendly physical contact with them, such as man hugs, pats on the backs, handshakes, etc. The only one that is ok alright the manly handshake. What are some ways to make physical contact between bros be more natural and less awkward?

First it's a handshake, then it's a hug, the next thing you know you're bumfucking one another and Satan rules the world!

There's nothing wrong with anything you posted. Yesterday at a party my friend pinned me up against a wall and mimicked screwing me, earlier during the night he slapped my groin too. All guy fun. Kicking it with the bro's.
One of my friends DOES take it too far, rubbing my back, side of my body and stuff while being nice over stuff I'm not even depressed about (For example, I'm detailing daddy issues, and he's rubbing me all over). Rubbing my neck, tickling the lobe of my ear. Too "sensual" for my liking. |

I've noticed its less weird, well actually not at all, with friends that I've had since childhood than friends I've made in my adult life. To say, I'd never randomly hop on the back of any of the friends I have made in the past few years, but me and my good friends from gradeschool do that kind of shit all the time. Our wives/girlfriends sometimes ask if we need to get a room, haha.

Handshakes, hugging, pats, gestures of friendship are fine.
However, I find teasing like light jabs, poking armpits or any ticklish area, pretending to play boxing...these kinds of thing are immature. College environment, or with friends at a drunken ass party, sure it's tolerable. But we get these in our office and it just seems unprofessional and uncomfortable especially with co-workers I hardly know. |
