I'm sad to see Blood of Bahamut there though... I was looking forward to the game and was hoping for an English release :(

I mean, sure I can see where the new protagonist doesn't live up to Phoenix, but it's not like it's wildly incongruent with the rest of the series in overall quality or anything.

FF8 is my least hated Final Fantasy game. Granted I've never got more than half way through any FF game (I just get bored with RPG's at around 20-25hrs) but I've never understood the hate FF8 gets...

Exactly. People complain about the personality change in Phoenix but it makes sense considering what he went through. The plot hole complaints are legit but without them we wouldn't have gotten the awesome "Zak Gramarye is a jerk" series by Hiimdaisy.

Not a great list, but this surely deserves to be in. SD4 is also a pretty good entry, but I don't think anyone really expects a good mana game anymore.

I don't like FFVIII but that does not mean it deserves to be on this list either.
