Media Create follows the path of Famitsu and Dengeki with the combined sales? When inside-games started updating the list I'm pretty sure the different versions of Pokemon and Inazuma Eleven were tracked seperately. Unfortunately I didn't save the webpage. According to the drill-blog Wii and PS3 will be close when Media Create updates its site, but PS3 still wins.

Thanks for making the thread, cvxfreak.

I think MC decided to combine HG and SS because they're that generous. That way we can have more numbers in the top 10. Haha With IE2 also using the two versions trick, it would be too much space wasted. Maybe they'll be separated in the 2009 top 500.

Regarding Love Plus, Sinobi said something about a new shipment. Maybe it was supply constrained ??

NSMBW dated for 12/03, btw. So Wii will have to hang on a little more until then.

Well, it still has 85k to go (Famitsu tracking) but it should be doable. For reference, here are theweekly Famitsu figures from August 31 to date:

15,000
10,000
8,700
9,100
6,300

It's obviously slipping, but it seems to be doing it fairly slowly, and I think that between now and Christmas it definitely has the chance to reach the million.

Tales of Vesperia is nearly 300K and still going strong ....its quite impressive given its a year old port(enhaced, but port).Right now 350k seems granted and it could go even to around 400K. I am anxious to see what FFXIII can do ,and what SOIV will do next february.

I think that's being a bit optimistic - it's dropped hard, and I can't see it being much above 10k next week. I would say 350k is likely, but I don't see it hitting anything close to 400k. We'll see, though...

You're being overly optimistic about ToV. Maybe 350k with some luck but 400k?

Wii Fit Plus "redeemed" after some thought first day sales where a bit underwhelming.

1. Wii Sports Resort - 354,000
2. Wii Fit Plus - 319,000 <--------
3. Wii Fit - 254,000
4. Wii Sports - 177,000
5. Wii Play - 172,000
6. Wii Music - 99,000

It is also Wii's 5th best opening:

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 816,000
2. Mario Kart Wii - 608,000
3. Monster Hunter 3 (tri) - 583,00
4. Wii Sports Resort - 354,000
5. Wii Fit Plus - 319,000 <--------

ToV is still winning the battle for best selling (single SKU) Tales of the current gen, but it's having a faster drop-rate than TotWRM2. It's also behind WKC so far.

After three weeks:

[PSP] Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 2: 278,000 = 210 + 45 + 23 (LTD 318,000)
[PS3] Tales of Vesperia: 291,000 = 227 + 45 + 18
[PS3] White Knight Chronicles: 301,000 = 203 + 73 + 25 (LTD 339,000)

So according to the pretty reliable MC leak, PS3 should stay on top, something like 35K to 33K.

I don't really remember PSP and DS being this close. PS3 has been ahead of Wii since the Slim launch I think.

However, there are still 20 spots left on the MC top 50, which could make it look like:

DS - 29
PSP - 9

And everything will be back to normality. Hehe

If it was going to come soon you would think it would have been revealed at TGS

The fact it was not probably means it will be a 2nd half of 2010 release, probably to give time to the Wii version to earn money from online

My schedule changed this week. I don't know about next week, though. If someone else wants to take over the weekly threads (particularly if they are available around midnight Washington, D.C. time and have access to Microsoft Access and Excel), though, I'm open to it. I was just planning on doing it until Cheesemeister's parser was ready, anyways.

I don't think it's been said, so it wouldn't be in 2009.

Edit:
Jonnyram's point is good, too. :)
