I don't know why I keep getting excited for these movies. I thought the first one was bad but spectacularly entertaining, the 2nd was worse but it had Nemesis and as a fanboy it was difficult for me to completely hate it, and I actually really liked the third one. At any rate, I thought these updates were interesting, and it took 4 movies to get Chris Redfield on board ![]() |

The ending of the last one made a promise to the audience. If there is not a clone Milla army, I will be very disappointed.

Also..at least they gave Chris his "trademark knife" and a red jacket to Claire.. And the clones will be in the movie, Milla confirmed it sometime ago.. |

What exactly is wrong with Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield? This comes up every time there's a videogame/movie discussion on GAF but you all realize an actor doesn't need to look EXACTLY like the video game character right? It's an adaptation. Really the only important thing for a Chris Redfield character is that the actor would be able to play a buff, military character, and Wentworth Miller can do that. I don't see the issue here.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding and it's not about looks and people hate Miller's acting? I think he's alright. Usually GAFers seem to whine about unmatching looks so that's the assumption I'm making. |

I'd ask why Milla, but we already know it's $$$
I'd also like to ask, why Milla???? There are other talented actresses out there, seeing her play this role is getting tiring. New story, eliminate the Milla, and give us something we haven't seen before and you've got my moniez. |

That's the thing..no matter who they casted, people were going to whine anyway...
As I said in another thread, David Boreanaz is the closest...as a well known actor that looks like RE5 Chris, yet many would have been like "lol Angel is Chris" or "lol Bones sux"..

I'm actually being serious though. He's writing the script WHILE in prison and they're going to shoot the film once Resident Evil wraps up.

The first one is a bad movie in its own right, but comapared to the sequels it's an absolute masterpiece. The third one was incredibly bad. Why don't they just follow the games? I know it's not the best writing, but it's leagues better than the movies.
