But Sonic 3 & Knuckles was too big and difficult for them to fit onto the Sega Mega Drive Collection DVD/Blu ray. I don't understand how they managed to fit it onto a DS cart?!!??!

Mega CD Sonic CD takes up i'd say about 150mb. I don't expect them to get that on DS since they havent even managed to get that onto any other services or compilations (Mega CD version, not fucked PC version). Was just saying, I own all the originals and homebrew PicoDrive emulator on PSP fulfills any portable Sonic needs I have at a quality that the "professionals" have yet to surpass.

Years later, and Sega still have yet to make a compilation with the quality, features, and content of Sonic Jam.
Level-specific time-attacks; new difficulty edits of game levels; tidy menu system; Sonic World; Actual Interesting Content.... Its like they don't remember making it! The list of content is uninspired. |

I find it weird they'd include a Dark Brotherhood video and no promotion of the 2D PLATFORMING GAMES in the Rush series that perhaps people might be more interested in instead of the worst DS Sonic available. Its looking likely we'll never get a Sonic Rush 3 at this point.

As a big fan of the Mega Drive Sonic games and a big fan of the DS I will look forward to and buy this.
Thanks Sega. Also I have to lol at the Sonic 3 + Knuckles thing, thats my fav game in the series and I argued against the crap PS360 compilation junk not having it. I still haven't got that crap, no excuse not to have it on there and people just lapped it up saying ZOMG DOESNT MATTER! :|Will buy this AND the VC Sonic & Knuckles when they hit. I could totally see myself picking this up after launch for £10-£15 considering it's a good port and has the proper game menus instead of that backbone stuff.

In this topic Huelen suggests he'd be ecstatic to buy games he probably owns multiple times already, again, for $100, and it would be a bargain. You really are batshit crazy, dude.

Let's add Sonic 3D Blast, the MD one since that's the one Sega releases most often. We are now up to 60 USD. Remember that up till now, we have been using VC prices since that's where the best console versions currently are. Now, let's just assume that the Adventure style games would go on an HD current-gen download service. I think 10 USD would be a typical low-end price for such a thing. So we could assume that Sonic Adventure 1, 2, Sonic Heroes, and Shadow would be 40 USD We are now at 100 USD, and we still haven't included Sonic CD. This would be a physical release, playable on your DS3 controller, in an HD resolution. What about the GBA games? What about any other bonuses? Is the price high? Consider God of War collection on PS3, 2 PS2 games in 720p for 40 USD (I am not comparing the games themselves, or their quality, just merely the price). It seems like a fair price. If a Sonic collection, like the one that I am talking about, were to be released, would 100 USD be a bad price? It's a high price, but still a bargain comparing other current-gen console releases and keeping in mind that this is tangible, something not all re-releases can boast. Could the price be lower, hell yeah. Would we be getting ripped off? Only if you think current prices are a ripoff, which in the case of VC pricing for MS and MD games, I don't. That's just my own opinion on the matter and nothing more.
