Cyberfront has finally unveiled details on their Strike Witches shmup for the Xbox 360. It's being developed by Gulti, developers of Raiden Fighters Aces, 0Day Attack on Earth, and Mamoru-kun wa Norowarette shimatta (with G.rev). They were also responsible for the XBLA and PS2 ports for Trigger Heart Exelica and the PSP port of Space Invaders Extreme.

I was looking over the new pics and stuff earlier and I'm conflicted. On the one hand, it's a shmup, so it has immediatly got my attention. On the other hand, as big an anime fan as I am, I haven't seen Strike Witches yet and so don't know if there'll be much there for those not familiar with the series. Ketsui, Deathsmiles II and Senko no Ronde should scratch my shooter itch for the next couple of months, but I may yet be convinced to get this.

there were figures made by Koanmi before the anime that were designed with WW2 themes and the girls had legs with plane or tank parts. it was just novel back then. then suddenly they came up with these weird anime to sell newer designs with new characters. i never watched the anime so i dunno how they explain it.

if this was region-free, i'd buy it. the more shmups the merrier.
