You can't be 100% protective of them forever or rap them in cotton wool. They gotta live their lives and for those type of thing you meet these people first and they of course have been given the necessary checks to get to that position. Most babysitters are female too and they have a much lower chance of abusing a kid.

Well, you're saying that people who are born with a sexual attraction to childen are 'bad people', regardless of what they do. So, if you realize as a teenager that you're attracted to children, and are horrified by it, you go into therapy, avoid children at all costs, get chemically castrated and live a miserable life that makes you a horrible person?

So yeah, I think you do need to elaborate. You obviously think that people choose their sexuality, which I find funny.

But those groups can actually have sex without breaking the law. Shy/fat/ugly people can have sex with other shy/fat/ugly people. The same can't be said of pedophiles, there's always the danger that they'll act on the urge to have sex. Not ever having sex isn't really all that natural.

Also, if it was up to me, the age of consent would be 18 because kids are fucking stupid.

Anything under 16 is just creepy.

I have kids. I wouldn't be happy if I were to find out that their teacher - or anyone associated with a school they go to - is a pedophile. And it's not bizarre to feel that way. One of the biggest underlying issues that pedophiles face is that their particular fetish is centered around helpless individuals that they could easily take advantage of. That's quite a bit different in nature and content to what he is equating them to.

Those who cannot consent are not the same as adults consenting.

I never said anything should be done to or by the individual. Obviously no one should be legally punished for their thoughts.

That said, I have every right to shun and avoid a sick bastard who is attracted to children.

What does that age crap have anything to do with the discussion? And I have already said not all pedophiles rape children. Raping children as a definition as bad I can agree on but please do not label Pedophiles as rapists.

Pedophilia is psychological disorder in the same way that homosexuality is biological. No one chooses to be one way or another so by labeling all pedophiles is bad is in my eyes the sames as labeling homosexuals bad.

People that might go to a therapist about it are not put on a list. People that download child porn can get in legal trouble because, in the very least, kids forced into that is horrible. I think people getting in trouble for drawing stuff in their home is absurd. Sex offenders are sex offenders. Parents are allowed to be cautious like I said.

What does the Pedophile Defense Force want really? People to be able to publicly admit they are pedophiles? I don't think a non sex offender pedophile vocally working in a school is a good idea. Kids knowing their teacher could be sexually fantasizing as they look at them is mentally counter productive. It's supposed to be a safe constructive environment where the teacher is only thinking about raising their knowledge.

With that said, I see nothing wrong with the OP. If he was a pedophile, what he's doing would be extremely creepy. It's weird now. What 21 year old does that? "Think of how many kids he'd be able to harm?" That's not saying he would it's saying he could act on urges and it'd be more probable if he was a pedophile.
