I saw the pic you posted in the other thread but didn't leave a comment. Your kid's the man; the ladies most love him. I know you're proud, and I would be too.

Sidenote: I always kind of wanted to impregnate my former high school girlfriend cause my son Duncan would be one cool little dude. His name will only work, though, if he plays high school basketball.

Well, for some reason I have never dated anyone of my height (5'9") :lol they are always either taller or shorter. But then again, I have never dated anyone of my age as well :P

This is actually more than just that one post I was talking about. But the post at the top seems to have a lot of links you can read up on. A lot of this is sure to piss you off (it pisses me off sometimes as well :|) but hey, we're learning folks. I'm just trying to be open minded~
I like women that stand up for themselves and others, I can't stand disrespect towards them. I don't have a daughter nor a sister, but I know that I don't like anyone to disrespect my mother or whomever Im dating. But nowadays it is extremely hard to do so because many women allow it.

I also have a problem with feminists that go to the extremes

I don't think I'd ever date a guy shorter than me. My bf is 5'11", almost 2 inches taller than me which is alright because I don't wear high heels anyway.

How about you girls? Would you date a guy shorter than you?

My SO is precisely the same height as I am. When we're both barefoot, he may have a quarter inch on me if we're both standing straight, so if I wear heels, I'm taller. We don't care, and since he's a leg guy (what a waste of my boobs, srsly), he's all like GIRL YOU BETTER WEAR THEM HEELS I'LL JUST CLIMB IT'S ALL GOOD.

I have to say, the same-height thing is at times very convenient. We fit together most comfortably. And since he's an amazing kisser, I pretty much always want his face in my face.

My first boyfriend was shorter than me (Asian fellow...came out as gay after we broke up :|). My current boyfriend is taller than me. I don't mind either. :D

Also, to whomever last complimented my child and said the ladies probably love him (I'm catching up; y'all post a lot for real): when he went to the fair last year, I shit you not--he had like five or six little girls following his stroller at all times. :lol :lol I will probably be less amused by the time he hits puberty, but for now, his ability to snare every woman within a ten mile radius is amazing.

He was all "eww, gays" so I told him gay people had rights too. Then he found a porno magazines that featured a man doing a guy, and he found it interesting. Then he just came out and dated my other former friend's ex-boyfriend.

It wasn't a fun year.

That I'm not sure about... I don't really believe in unsupervised yoga. It's a huge benefit to have an instructor who will go around correcting your poses and posture, especially when you're a beginner. You may think you're doing things right, but they're there to prove just how wrong you are.

I've heard that Pilates and Yoga work wonders for posture. Then there's the old fashioned way, walking with books balanced on top of your head, holding your head high, I'm not sure if it works though. Or you could do what my friend did.. Duct tape your shoulder blades. :lol

I don't slouch at all while walking but I do when I'm sitting down, especially at the computer.

Wait, how does the duct tape thing work?

And Zoe, I think the wii fit is good in that the board tells you if you're off or not. Would that help? I know its not an instructor, but I'd have to get up early to go to the navy base for yoga and I'm a 22 year old lazy ass.:lol

Basically, you duct tape your trunk so that your scapulae are as close to touching as you can get them.

It's like...a duct-tape corset. So Red Green.

Anywho, I try to think of two things: tightening my core (suck in my gut) and walking as though I am a marionette with a string coming out of my head: head, neck, spine, and hips all in a straight line.

In terms of strength training, ab and back exercises (so, Yoga, Pilates, etc) will help. So will strength training that works your lats, pectoral muscles, and other shoulder muscles around the scapula.

See now that's precisely why I don't take formal yoga or pilates classes anymore. All my instructors did the yanking thing.

It made it painful (albeit...effective)

I don't know if this chic in my pilates class was an instructor, but she helped me a lot. It was kind of weird. I was like "LADY WHY ARE YOU ALL UP ON ME?!":lol

I'll check out the yoga class on base. Somehow.

I've never tried it so I don't exactly know how it works, had to google it for you. :p Okay, take off your top and your bra, stand up straight, shoulders back. Have someone duct tape your shoulder blades and then get dressed over it. Every time you try and slouch you'd feel a tug on your shoulder blades reminding you not to do it. I don't think that it would work, though. You'd be better off going for Yoga or Pilates instead.

Nope, it wouldn't be creepy at all. What's worse that can happen? She'll say no? Besides as you say there's a huge chance you might not see her much after this. I say go right ahead! You have Girl-GAF's blessing.

I would prefer the girl be shorter than me, but I wouldn't be so shallow as to say that I'd never date any girl my height. Obviously my initial attraction is going to be lessened if the girl is as tall as me or taller, but that doesn't mean she won't have anything to offer.

Not me. The taller the better, the way I look at it. I'm 6'2", but I love tall ladies. I've dated short ones as well though, so in reality I'm not that picky.

Sounds like most women are looking for guys that are either equal height or taller. Which is understandable, but really kills our chances with a lot of girls.

Maybe I'll go after some Asian women. They seem to be around the average height for me. Unlike you amazonian women in here, geez. :lol

Same height as me is OK or even if he's an inch shorter, but anything bellow 5' 7" would be extremely weird. And if I decide to wear high heels, he'd look like a midget in front of me. Yeah, you're right that's shallow. But everyone has their "ideal" potential mate, and in my mind my ideal is taller/same height as me.

It's like saying midget people are people too, would you date one of them? Someone who's just 3 foot?

People do get magically more attractive once you realize they're awesome. I mean, objectively, I know my guy isn't like JESUS HOT or anything, but for me, it is like the sun shines right out of his face. So I dunno. If I gave a midget a fair shake, s/he might grow on me.

Weird, around here (midwest U.S.), most guys I see are at least 5'8. I rarely see very tall girls. I dunno why, but I've never been into anybody over 6 foot. I'm 6'4 so I've always stood well over most girls, so it always weirds me out when I meet/see a woman that is only a few inches shorter than me :lol Not usually attracted at first
