I got on the crumpler bandwagon a few years ago with my ex, we had 6 of them between us. :lol
Got the Beez Kneez (lol). It's a mammoth satchel. I use it to carry console shit around gaming events and it's replaced my suitcase when travelling. Also useful... when I didn't have a car for 6 months I would buy slabs of beer and carry it on the tram inside the bag. Nice workout it was. I also have one of their laptop backpacks, for carrying my 17' to uni. Probably my favourite investment because traveling with the oversized laptop was getting to be a pain, and this was the only bag I'd come across that did the job well. I can forget I'm carrying it sometimes, until I start walking up stairs. I have a regular sized satchel for general use. I don't really use it anymore though, I should sell it and get one of those over the shoulder fanny pack things a few pages before this, for when I'm just walking around town with camera and regular stuff. I don't mean to sound all pro crumpler. I was sold on the lifetime warranty thing, cos a few friends have had velcro go bad and they either got it fixed for free or replaced on the spot. Now that I'm already spending money on this stuff though, I might look for something a bit more fashionable. I don't get what the big deal is with guys and bags, but everyone wears them here in Melbourne, so shrug. |

I don't find it a coincidence that in the U.S. (and Canada?) is it apparently questionable for men to use some kind of bag for either style or function. And they say Americans are bad dressers...
Here in Japan, you look out of place WITHOUT one. And for good reason. |

how do people feel about knockoff designer bags? any changes in perception over the last dozen years?
or is that kinda thing covered under gaf's no piracy policy? i sorta want one and proudly tell everyone it's a fake, as a big f-u to the retail price of the genuine deal. they look ok, and they'll give you street cred to the casual observer. and it'll also be handy to have for my trip to asia soon. as long as they last the duration of the trip since i don't really need one for day to day life. |

I use old ammo bags and LBE's that I have already proven in field use. I'm a hunter and photographer. I need something practical and utilitarian, something that will last a great many years. Ammo pouches and camera bags that don't look like camera bags are my friends. My NDS and most every other gadget/weapon/supply/medicine will fit in something that easily attaches to a belt for hands-and-shoulder-free wear. What you don't want is for your pack/bag to fall off your person easily should you break out in a sprint. For whatever reason, the ability to use all your limbs to carry out needed tasks (having both arms and hands free to use--while walking and wearing some sort of tethered pack) is better than having to hold the strap of your purse. Those hipster man-purses may seem like a good idea in your 20s, but they and the Louie-V bags are for pussies. If you need to be business-like, then get a briefcase. Carry it around. Use it. Many professional men and women use briefcases, and so can you. |

If I had an actual use for it, I would be all over this bag.

Currently I use this to carry my 15" MBP and other assorted crap.
![]() However, I was looking to upgrade to a bag that has two straps for even weight distribution, as I'm going back to school soon and carrying around a crapload of stuff in that bag will be bad for my back; I've already felt a bit of back strain when it's not even fully loaded. I've looked around the incase site, and I haven't really seen much that's caught my eye, and of the bags they do have, they won't fit enough stuff in them. I'm thinking two textbooks and my laptop. I've also checked out Freitag bags, but they don't have bags with two arm straps. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Bringing this one back to life. In the market for a new man-bag. I love my Tumi-tech bag. Now I'm looking at the Moleskine Reporter bag for work. Carry my notebooks and magazine or two.
