You press start and the option to skip the movie shows up, if you press that the PS3 freezes and you nothing responds anymore. I eventually have to shut off the PS3. Went back to Gamestop and swapped it for another disc and it's still doing the same thing. I then thought it was the PS3 so I tried all the other PS3 games I have and those seem to be working fine. I played through Last of Us and this didn't happen once, played some GOW, worked fine. Put in all other games I have and they also work. This only happens with Uncharted 2.
What the hell is going on? I already did the rebuilding database in Safe mode.
Sounds like you need to delete the game data (not the save data) and try the game again. It could be part of the HDD is faulty. I'd maybe try deleteing the game data then adding or taking away a couple of GB of game or film data and try again.Originally Posted by plantedunicorn
I'll ask this here and see if anyone could help me. I'm playing Uncharted 2 for the first time and It seems like something is wrong. I've played the game for about 5 minutes and when it gets to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eLsYkPhicU cutscene at 7:00, the game freezes and goes to a black screen. You can still here the snow and ambient noises in the game but it's just a black screen. It's happened about 8 times now.

Uncharted 2 mainly runs off the disc afaik, so maybe the lens is faulty at a part, try watching a whole bluray movie if you can.
Also, just in case, make sure your PS3's firmware is up to date and the game downloads all the patches again.
I just talked to customer support and I did all that. Deleted the game data, then he told me to restore some files. It found some corrupted data and deleted those. Restarted the console, downloaded and installed all the patches and craps out at the same spot. I'm gonna go borrow a blu ray and see if it's the lens. The thing is other games work though.Sounds like you need to delete the game data (not the save data) and try the game again. It could be part of the HDD is faulty. edit: nvm just logged into origin and saw that it's no longer $1. Guess I'll just use the money for any possible steam sale purchases
Why not just play SC II HD instead? If you don't care about the characters or how older SC played, then definitely go for V, if you do care, then go for IV.Quick, Soul Calibur IV or V? Need advice, gaming tonight with my bro and i'm willing to buy one of the two. Single player and local multi player, no online. Which is better? Ps. Loved the hell out of SC II.
Okay my question.
I'm playing catchup for my PS3, and here are the titles I'm considering.
- Deus Ex: Revolution (I usually don't go for FPSs, but I played about an hour or so and really like it. As long as they continue to focus on exploration and stealth gameplay I will definitely get this.)
- Bayonetta (Been on my list for a while, but the Xbox verison is superior, is the PS3 version still okay?)
- Demon's Souls (I have Dark Souls, and as much as I like the exploration, I find myself put of by the difficulty and controls, but I think that has to do with not knowing how to play the game correctly.)
- Nier (I haven't investigated this game alot, but people tend to praise it. It looks like an action RPG with a good story?)
- Castlevania: Lord of Shadows (Looks like a great adventure/platformer, but I find myself put off by some of the animations.)
- Okami HD (Don't know a lot about this game, just that lots of people compare it to a Zelda-esque type of adventure. Haven't beaten a Zelda game, but had a lot of fun with OoT and MM.)
- Vanquish (Probably the title I'm considering the least, looks to actiony in the demo and the gameplay I've seen.)
- Uncharted 2 (Only played the first one, and had a semi-enjoyable experience, bar the QTEs, and shootouts.)
I will probably only have enough money to get two or three, but in which order should I get these games? If you have any other recommendations I would like to know.
Okami and Demon's Souls are definitely the best games on your list. I would play either of these two first. Why not just play SC II HD instead? If you don't care about the characters or how older SC played, then definitely go for V, if you do care, then go for IV.

If you don't like Dark, you probably won't like Demon's is my advice.- Demon's Souls (I have Dark Souls, and as much as I like the exploration, I find myself put of by the difficulty and controls, but I think that has to do with not knowing how to play the game correctly.)
I really enjoyed this game. Drags on a while and the music box puzzle will have you tearing your hair out, but overall I'd deffo recommend a playthrough.- Castlevania: Lord of Shadows (Looks like a great adventure/platformer, but I find myself put off by some of the animations.)
It's about 100 times better than Drake's Fortune. Again, I'd highly suggest you play through it.- Uncharted 2 (Only played the first one, and had a semi-enjoyable experience, bar the QTEs, and shootouts.)
Without knowing too much else what you're into it/played already, I'd suggest Heavy Rain as well. God of War III just for the spectacle.
After you transferred them, you should see the discount in the eShop (the normal price should be striked out and the lower price should be in yellow below it).Does anyone know how to upgrade WiiU VC titles from Wii to WiiU if you've already transfered your Wii into the WiiU's virtual Wii thing?
www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=579309Is there a N64 Appreciation thread like there is for Sega Mega Drive and SNES? If so, can someone link me to it? Cheers!
Thanks! Look I even posted on the first page, but lost it somewhere in the abyss heh.Originally Posted by Jucksalbe

Also are any of the extra streetpass games, the ones you have to buy, any good?
Lastly, a video review for Mario Tennis Open said you can unlock mii accessories. Is that just for in game or does it cross over to your streetpass mii as well?
I suppose it's simply a generic theme for the sequence, but if anyone knows what its called or where I can find it, that'd be great.
Its really varied. If a development team ships a game and they don't have another to work on what do they do? Training? Improve tools?
Most big studios have a project set for them, some do a few prototypes and choose the best/what they can get funding for.
Some have vacation periods while a small crew working on pre-production for the next time.
Studios that are part time just prototype stuff and keep doing their regular jobs.
Some close if they don't have a new project being funded for, or cut down their staff a lot till they get funding.
Tools are generally constantly improved, then when a game is over the tools for the developers are updated before full production on the next project begins. If you make big changes to tools in the middle of development, unless it is planned, you can break a lot of things.
Training depends on the developer, lots of training is done on the job or in spare time, sometimes a company might pay for you to go away on specific training.
Ideally you have it planned so that no one is ever left with nothing to do. Concept artists and the like should be working on the next game before the end of the current project. A small crew works on prototyping while people have vacation on a 'rota' so that everyone gets a break. You then slowly build up the crew working on the game and ramp up to full production. Then you repeat.
I do have a vita and ps3.
Are the ports of FFIV and Chrono Trigger servicable enough for me to experience them on these platforms, or should I not even bother?

You don't want my opinion on FF4, but the DS version of Chrono Trigger is the definitive version.I don't have a snes, wii, wii u, or 3ds.

I delete the notification, I delete the actual file in the applications list but it still says "installed" and I'm unable to reinstall.
Heeeeeeelp.
How do I sign out of PSN on my PS4? As a PS+ subscriber I'm automatically signed in when I turn the console on and I can't figure out for the life of me how to go offline!
