The game is $3 on itunes and PSP, though. And the Android version has cool 3D graphics. Of course there are some good runner games that are free too, like Lame Castle and YooNinja.

YooNinja becomes soooo hard >.<
Also, SpymOuse got an update and it's the thing we all wanted: short load times!!!!!! Fuck yeah. So, recommended by me: Birrzle Awesome action puzzler and free Majesty If you are into RTS/management hybrid games with nice graphics, this is your chance. But mages need training in conservation, don't waste Meteor storms on rats, guys :-P Sentinel III Still my fave TD game, great flow and graphics, the DLC campaign is tough as nails Jelly Defense For me, the most funny TD with outstanding art design and music Dungeon Village My fave Kairosoft game so far. I would really like to get O-Edo town :-\ Paladog Take your hero, regen mana, buy units with it, go attack with army and hero. Castle vs Castle in excellently polished quality. My SGS-II doesn't like it with sound running though, like almost a third of all games. Still recommended Arel Wars Same but different. And free. Don't be fooled by the resource called (c)ash, it's crystal you normally earn over the game, you don't need to buy that via IAP. Bit shady. Still recommended game since it's fun Pinball Arcade If your phone is up to the task and you like pinball, this is a must buy. Older phones may chug on the graphics and simulation load Block Breaker 3 HD If you like Arkanoid/Breakout games, this is an excellent version. The level design is simply shining Asphalt 6 HD Yeah yeah, racing on the phone. But if it wasn't for the control problem, this is a fun oldschool arcade racer, down to the enthusiatic announcer and pre-race intros. Fully worth my buck when it was on sale :-D Cut the Rope Cute and simple physics puzzler that is an alltime hit with everyone Where is my water This time, water is your puzzle element, where you must get water to your croc swampy by digging paths and avoiding drains, poisoned water, water absorbing growing bursh and countless other hazards. And tripple-rubberducking some levels can be a real b**** SpyMouse You are Agent mouse, on a mission to collect cheese. Top-down perspective. Avoid cats, trick cats, achieve goals. And after the update, finally with fixed loading times. Warning: huge download. Also, features awesome boss levels. Finally a game where I can say that :-P Space STG II Sins of a Solar empire with turn based battles. Aeyup. As good as it sounds if you are into that kind of thing. First 4 levels are free demo, purchase has to be made via PayPal since aparently, the Android doesn't like Poland and the author had to jump through that loop. But if you like it, worth the days wait for the unlock key. Phew, mini-list of what I played in more recent time. And it's a good one I'd say :-D

As far as must-get Android games go, I recommend: Fruit Ninja Cut the Rope Where's My Water The Pinball Arcade Temple Run ZooKeeper DX Any of the Kairosoft games EDGE or EDGE Extended Snuggletruck ChuChuRocket I thought Canabalt was great as a humble bundle pack-in, but for $2.50 I dunno. It's as simple as a runner platformer can get. |

IIRC, they had some major problems with their download servers when it first came out and people weren't able to download the game. I don't think there's been any problems since then though.

I think they are all the same. The only difference is your interest in the subject. Your level of interest in the subject multiplies the crack factor in kairosoft games. For example, I love game dev, football and grand prix story, yet I don't find hot spring story and academy any good, just because I'm not really interested in it. Yet my niece loves pocket academy more than the others.

Buy as many items from the item vendor as you can and use them to increase the rating and price of your buildings. I had the same problem, I could not get 5 stars in my first playthrough but I easily got 5 stars in my second.

pics GunHead development (Android version) is coming along verrry slowly, but it is moving forward. iOS might wrap 1st but it's hard to tell; hopefully both will launch this summer (otherwise, I'll be out on the street!) My other game Trapdoor is coming along quite well also. Android is 80% there and iOS is just recently getting moving as well: hopefully this should release within a month. Both games are extremely fun (if a developer is even allowed to say that of his own game) Keep your eyes peeled! |

I lost it for a second and though that buying REC The game for a buck was a good idea. OMG...
It took almost a day to download, ok, it might have really big production values, right? Wrong, the game looks like crap, like an amateur AND talentless Quake 2 mod, with poor choice of colors. But that's not the worse, the gameplay, it's duller than any amateur AND talentless Quake 2 mod I have ever tried, and that's without taking into account the poor touch controls. |

Both Bejeweled 2 and Tetris have stopped working for me. Whenever I try to start them, I get an Airplay error of some sort, which is interesting. Isn't Airplay for Apple devices? I should mention that both of these games worked perfectly fine for a few months, then I boot them up and they get this error and stop working completely. Faulty patch? I don't know. Also worth noting that both games are from EA.
Anyone else have these sorts of problems? I want to re-install but isn't that just going to reset all my high-scores and stuff?

What's with games requiring internet connections every time they start? So annoying. I was on holiday last week so had data roaming turned off to avoid the ridiculous data charges. I try to start some games, and some of them refuse to even start because they can't find an internet connection.
Zenonia 4 refused to start, as did the new Baseball Superstars. To confuse things even further, Zenonia 3 starts fine without a connection, but 4 doesn't. Did devs really not think people might want to play games while on holiday? |

ZooKeeper DX had it, but they got rid of it in one of the latest patches. Good on Kiteretsu. |

Frustrating as a developer too if someone reports a bug in there with no further info and no way to contact them.

I'm really surprised at the lack of decent turn based strategy games for android. I would've thought they'd be perfect. Maybe some card type game like metal gear acid, as well. I really don't understand how there are so many action games, racing games, even gta 3. I don't want any of that.

So I decided to give Painkiller a try and..wow.
That is some of the most putrid trash I have ever played, holy shit. Avoid at all costs. Now I want to purify myself, are there any good simple FPS games? I mean, Doom would be ace, but no, no doom on Android :(. |

There's quite a few doom ports for Android, isn't there? I use DoomGLES, it works fine. Xperia Play controls work great too.

So heads up, since I'm willing to bet a lot of you don't look at the Pinball Arcade thread -
The Pinball Arcade for Android recently updated with two new tables, Medieval Madness and Bride of Pinbot. Medieval Madness is completely free for the month (no high score limit), and I highly recommend checking it out because it's honestly one of the best Bally/Williams tables ever produced. |

If you like rhythm games, take a look at this one and thank me later:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l0dXMuZnVsbCJd Just make sure you have a screen 3.5" or bigger, it's a bit difficult to play on 3" (._.U) oh and another thing: the game is free but only has 3 songs with 2 difficulty levels. To unlock the rest it's a one-time $1.99 payment. |

I will say that it does feel like there's a little lag between the music and what's happening on screen, and I'm not sure if it's because of my device or what, but it's definitely still playable. I also wish they put in a one or two second delay after pausing. I don't regret getting it for $2 though. |

I am rediscovering some psx classics with the fpse emulator. Played and loved the first cd of Valkyrie Profile (i cant make the cd change to work, neither on the pc with epsx :(...) and now i am starting FF Tactics.
It works pretty well, but of course eat battery like a hungry bastard. |
