I guess that comes from it apparently being easier to do then the 4th gen games. :P

But from what I read you have "Nearest Shiny frame" which is your initial PID, which is actually some kind of "2nd frame" to your reg frame that determines shinyness and Nature and IVs. But unlike your reg frame this doesn't start at 1, its somewhere between 40 and 60.

It's fully legit lol!
All it is is working around the game's hidden process. Thats why people want to do it instead of the much easier AR/ Hacking/ Make-your-own-mon stuff. Its no different then breeding Pokemon with Pokemon from other places for better shiny chances or the whole evs/ivs thing that people wouldn't know of normally.

Just received my US White in the mail and even though I have completed Black, I am still enjoying this play through.

My current party is Oshawott and Snivy (hatched egg traded from Black) and I plan on getting Solosis and Zorua by the time I reach Nimbasa. I have also downloaded the Liberty Ticket for Victini, which should come in handy for the third gym (might ditch it after that though).

This story is hardly worth sharing but it blew my mind so here it is anyway.

I can't seem to catch a ditto for nothing. I spend about an hour wandering around the giant chasm just trying to see one and when I do, the little suckers refuse to stay in the frigging pokeball and end up fainting on me. So I decided to heck with it and go after the ice dragon. I walk up to this legendary beastie, lead off with Mienshao, survive a glaciation to get off a high jump kick which sends it straight into the red. I toss one Ultra Ball and catch it straight away. Frigging Dittos.
