DC has always hit it out of the park with their animated series (for the most part), but Avengers is without wanting to stretch too much into hyperbole almost perfect. The way they balance the characters, both thematically and emotionally, is really great. If you like Marvel, there just simply isn't a Marvel cartoon to date that is better than Avengers.
That being said I watched all of it on Netflix which means I'm going to have to wait forever to watch season 2. Seriously who gets Disney XD? |

It's not part of basic cable. It is available to most people, but most people aren't going to pay extra to get the military channel and Disney XD. Plus I hate Comcast and I like Netflix.
Unrelated but if Disney had a streaming service that had on demand classic cartoons, movies, plus their current shows I would be on that so fast. |

I went back and re-watched some of the old episodes, I really love this show. One thing that bothered me though, in Breakout part 2, Thor are the Hulk are completely reckless in their fight with Graviton. Thor blasts him with his hammer when he's holding a freaking island several hundred feet above the water, and he just drops it. The Hulk knocks him into a train yard, destroying nearly everything inside. Then Thor ends the fight by hitting him with the biggest thunderbolt of the entire series, destroying several surrounding blocks in the process and leaving a massive gaping crater in the middle of the city. All told the Avengers cause literally billions in property damage in just their first fight, and in the next episode NYC is back to normal. Apartment insurance must be insane living in Marvel Manhattan.

Never even knew this thread existed. Good show. I watched the finale long before it aired in the US so I kind of forgot this was even getting a second season :P

I think it'll be on Marvel's ustream. http://www.ustream.tv/marvellive if you watch the archived videos from the past 2 days, they've shown random season 1 episodes during the breaks. |

Watched the first few episodes, amazing show. So that newer Spiderman show that was cancelled is available on Instant Watch as well? Any other good comic shows with decent art and good animation. I could never watch any of the 90's shows because of ugly art and bad animation.

I'm glad to hear S2 is coming up soon. This show is really great. I hope the series at least continues through the Avengers movie next year.

I saw the Breakout episode. I'm not usually this impressed with most animation series. Pacing, action, (and fan service) was great and wasn't letting up the whole time. Found myself smiling while watching and when I realized it, I just had to tell myself 'holy sht this is good'!
