I think you should simplify the image uploader and not give too many prompts when it uploads a photo. And the gallery title and photo image name should be clean - we should not have to delete that "insert name" or something before we write what we want, it's just a waste of time. Also, there needs to be a way to upload photos without requiring creating an account.

I don't know who actually maintains the OS X app, but I love it, except for one problem. That pop-down window that appears when you mouseover the menu item. It's not needed and it actually gets in the way more than it should. I find it appearing all the time when I don't need it just because I was mousing up to click a tab in Chrome or something. It's also not needed because you can just make it so you can drop the file on the icon itself. This is what CloudApp does. You drop the file on the menu icon and it uploads it. There's no need for a pop-up window to appear. So please, remove it or pass this information on. It's really annoying when it appears. It's especially annoying in fullscreen mode in Chrome when I miss the tab, show the menubar and the balloon pops on screen and gets in the way forcing me to have to mouse down a bit to make it go away before I try aiming for the tab again. And when I drag a file from the Finder, it means I have to mouse over the icon, then back down to drop it. It just does more harm than it should.

Other than that, I love it. Keep the site going.

I prefer imgur for a couple of reasons:

1) I don't need an account (pics expire without one with min.us)
2) I can crop/edit the pics that I upload
3) I can upload a pic using a url

Yes - it's already there. Each URL is a folder, you can organize via your Dashboard

Now they're re-compressing my images, which kills my transparency in pngs. great.

We only compress for the folder view page, you can hotlink to the DIrect Link or the Image Link for full size. GIFS are never compressed in folder view page.

Can you make an option to always have the "share" part expanded? It's always an extra click for me to get the direct link or bbcode. Imgur shows you it without requiring an extra click so I tend to use it over min.us.

Upload by URL is coming --- guest upload expiration is really because we offer uplodas up to 2 GB per file now. Also most image sharing sites expire files, they don't tell you....

I sometimes spam a huge amount of images and when I do it's a pain in the butt to have to add another step to creating the "IMG" tags with each image (sometimes getting up to 80-90 images a post). It's a little thing, but those do count ;) Also I completely bailed on my imgur paid account, cancelled it and told em that they have some competition from you guys, especially since I can do everything I could with my former paid account and more! but with you guys for free.

Yes, all photos/images over certain size is re-sized for the folder/gallery view. But we still include original image size for you to use/hotlink if needed.

I was excited about it too... 'till I found out it doesn't work.

What doesn't work? Please let us know and we'll do our best to fix.

I use the firefox one. Most of the time that I open up my browser, the icon isn't there and the extension isn't working. I go to check my extensions and it's enabled, but there's nothing in the add-on bar or the right click menu. If I open up add-ons, double click min.us extension, close the browser, and open it again, then I can get it to appear. Other than that, it's random. I just want it to be there all the time without having to do that. It's the only one I have that problem with. I've tried re-installing, but that didn't work. Don't know if anyone else has that problem.

The Firefox addon needs to be updated. We haven't had a chance as Firefox takes forever to update / approve :\ Chrome extension is up to date however.

I downloaded the desktop and iPhone apps and am using minus now and really like it. Is there any folder sync like Dropbox available/down the pipeline? I really liked that I could let my document folders live in a Dropbox sync folder and have it automatically uploaded to the cloud rather than having to drag it to manually update all the time.

Really cool service. Digging it and the extension now that it's easier to use.

Thanks ! Click to copy link was disabled as doing it for multiple 'text fields' slows the site down, and it also requires flash.

Syncing files is something we may do in future for folders. But right now you can still keep all your files synced by doing it manually via folders via your Dashboard, it's not a normal sync in your desktop, but in the end we promote sharing/publishing more than simply uploading and storing your files.
