Edit - sorry if you're not in the UK - Sainsburys only ship internally :( I guess with a 10% off Zavvi code it will be pretty much the same price though anyway.

They are inflating the shipping costs for countries which have their local Amazon shop (such as Germany for instance). They don't want smart shoppers to do their shopping in the UK I guess. Funny thing is they're losing the sale altogether in my case. I just use other UK/channel island shops which offer normal shipping costs and not my local Amazon.

Those shipping prices are unreasonable. plain and simple. They're even more unreasonable if you consider that it's just a "plain 'ol shipping" option, no tracking, nothing. For that price to be justified it needs to include tracking and some speedy delivery. This is a plain ripoff. One item, one book. Not a fucking 1mx1m box. Q.E.D. |

I have no idea what they are doing but changing the policy to 40 days tells me they are using some super cheap and shit service from oversea. |

I should have ordered it when they had it for 14.95 dammit!
Does anyone else have those "Magyar Posta" stickers on the case as well? It's says here "Magyar Posta Zrt. (Hungarian for "Hungarian Post JSC") is the postal administration of Hungary. Besides normal mail delivery, Magyar Posta also offers logistics, banking, and marketing services." I thought Zavvi was from the UK? |

My MGS: LE order from Zavvi arrived today. I'm impressed with the quality of packaging. I thought for sure they'd use a plastic delivery bag to cut down on costs.
Also the box they used was huge! |

Oh and btw. play.com does exactly the same. I ordered some DVD from them. Forgot about it. Noticed that it wasn't there after 2 months. Normally you can turn an order to "did not receive" and will get sent a replacement. Now in my case, this wasn't possible anymore. Tried to e-mail them, no reply (I think it's not even possible to contact a human being at play). At least it was a pretty cheap DVD, ordered it again. Got it that time. Because I got 2 DVDs twice from them due shipping taking that long and them sending out replacements, I wasn't even mad. No, you misunderstood. Zavvi sends out replacements after 21 days for international orders (10 days for UK orders). BUT if you don't contact them within 40 days, they won't sent another one out. Exactly this happened to the poster. He waited too long.

They don't have any cheaper international shipping options because of that. |

Seem to have Alan Wake CE for £13.49 in the UK. Not been paying attention to the PC version since I have it for 360, so I dunno whether that's a good price. |

I want to buy Deus EX HR PS3 but I am a bit confused with so many editions. There is a collector's, an augmented, a limited edition and a normal edition. I hate this crap.
I guess the "limited" is just the normal but with some DLC codes (similar to Dead Space 2), is that right? If I just want the game, is the normal ok or should I get the limited? the price is also confusing, in some places the limited is cheaper than the normal.
