The voice actors were also announced (Mamoru Miyano is Elza).

Also there was some info in Jump this week about weapons being upgradeable and an "identify" system for unknown items that seems straight out of Wizardry.

I believe that's when the pre-orders open, Nintendo World is January(8-11 or something) 2011 in Japan and NoE and NoA will have their own conferences by the end of January. Capcom and Sega said fuck it to Nintendo's request not to show new stuff on 3DS games untill that date to even the playing field so to speak and others will follow soon. All publishers want to blow their 3DS load it seems :lol

Why would you have a whole conference for a single game?

There must be somethings to be discussed at lengthy and detailed manner. Localisation might be one of it.

Well, the fact that they're holding a conference for a single game means that they're probably pushing the game quite a bit. I doubt they would announce a release date for the US, but it's possible that they could mention that they're releasing the game over here.

It's funny because The Last Story seems way more likely to be released in the west than Xenoblade.

"From the creator of the Final Fantasy series" has a much better ring to it than "From the creators of the Xenosaga games!"
