So lets talk about our prediction game for huge-ass next week, I have around 10 titles worth predicting any normal week and that's without any 3DS stuff, which would be hardware prediction and 6 interesting titles. What do you guys think, shall we separate 3DS predictions from the rest, combine and trim the list, combine but add a 3rd and 4th ranking for just 3DS stuff...

There's also number availability question, since a normal MC Top20 would barely cover around new 16 titles I can see hitting it (without splitting Nintendogs which I think they won't), but there's also a chance we get a full report on 3DS numbers.

Short list of what's interesting to predict:
3DS: Hardware, Nintendogs, Layton 5, Street Fighter IV, Samurai Warriors, Ridge Racer, Winning Eleven. Total 7.
Rest: DS Yugioh, PSP Phantasy Star Portable 2 Inf, PSP Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 5, PSP/WII SD Gundam, WII/PS3 Rune Factory, PS3 Disgaea 4, PS3 Killzone 3, 360 Idolmaster 2. Total 10.

It depends how important the lower screen is in these games, it looks like most games would be better off with a different layout.
They should have done Space invaders Extreme 2 on the PSP in tate-mode.

It's expected to be at the second line of top sellers with Samurai Warriors, after Layton and Nintendogs.

It can, definitely. The game itself is a showcase of the 3DS possibilties. Scale the exceptations down given the fact that it is a remake and what you get is a decent (if not good) seller. If people lack motivation in purchasing a 3DS, then high sales may be tough to reach (for all software invovled) but if 3DS pre-orders are any indication, the hardware is set to explode at launch, and thus, push the entire line-up as a whole.

I personally expect it to be number #4 at launch. #3 would be extremely positive.

What makes me worry though, would be an extremely favourable response to first-party software as opposed to third-party offerings. That would be the first sign that Nintendo didn't succeed in changing the public's perceptions. I fear that.
