So I'm contributing something to the thread, I find this fanbase very interesting. It's... I don't mean to sound pretentious, but it feels like it's at the forefront of something. The creator of the show is trying to break gender stereotypes by creating a good show that is primarily aimed at girls but can also appeal to boys. The straightforward nature of the show, along with high production values, attract an older fanbase. Thanks to the anonymity the internet provides and the ability to distribute the show, the fanbase is able to congregate and grow. This fanbase feels comfortable in enjoying the show because gender norms aren't as strictly enforced as they used to be; liking "pink stuff" isn't wrong, just different.

Well, at least within the more socially liberal circles.

In the past couple weeks I had to watch a pet slowly die. While I love other forms of entertainment such as horror and mma, I wanted something innocent and fun.

Usually I would go to Disney animated movies for this.

I kept on seeing this thread popping up at the top of OT so I was curious. I watched a couple episodes and dismissed it. But it kept on creeping back into my head. I watched more. Then I made a post here on GAF. The response was embracing and fun.

After that, I had an episode that I really enjoyed because it made me laugh. I asked for an avatar because of that episode. Foxix provided me with one. A short time later I get a PM from Foxix and an offer for an improved one. No asking. No requests. It just happened.

If that makes this thread freaky, so be it. I will happily don that mark. This thread is great.

I was taking a nap and missed Arcipello's post, and yeah as Mechanical Snowman noticed I don't have a really good means of converting youtube video's to gifs. If I had been awake I would have used http://benderconverter.com.

It's pretty nifty, I've tried converting youtube videos to just about every format and still imageready throws a hissy fit every time I try to import them. It's basically like gifsoup but less annoying and spits out gifs with much higher quality. Only issue is that they limit how many youtube videos you can convert to two a day. That and of course watermarks *shakesfist.*.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to look at what's out there once I get my new laptop set up. Right now my current computer is too old to run... well all sorts of things haha.
