Yeah, the pixel art in this game is really something. I was amazed at how good some the extremely low-res art looked even when zoomed in.
Oh, and mad props on the palette shifting effects. They look fantastic in this.

Finished S&S on some plane rides today. I'll sit on it a bit before deciding how good/great it is, but it left an impression for sure and I've never played anything quite like it before. My first reaction is that I wanted more, and even though everything that was thrown into the game didn't hit for me, there was more than enough that did. One of the best experiences on the iPad yet, with heaps more craft and imagination than your average 0.99 blockbuster or console port.
spoilers/thoughts: I'm not exactly sure why The Scythian even began her woeful quest as well. Why did she/the villagers need the megatome again? Also was a little disappointed the story thread was as straightforward as it was. The Archetype character, the vinyl imagery, breaking the fourth wall, twitter, the out of place bits in Dogfella and The Scythian's megatome entries, I really thought they were teasing some bigger tale. Maybe it's there and we just haven't seen it yet. But yea, I'm leaning towards agreeing that the game would have been as good, if not better, if they played it straight. And a couple of the puzzles, specifically the music ones, felt more like brute force trial and error bits and I don't think they were entirely successful. But enough of my whining. Loved the megatome, loved the idea of dream walking. Loved (freaked out by) the Gogolithic Mass. Loved the music and sound design. Loved how instead of gaining a heart after each boss encounter, you lose one and grow weaker as the game progresses. Loved the tense, simple combat, I could have even done with more. Loved the incredibly satisfying multitouch puzzles. Loved all the little details on display, the game is an interactive work of art and I really hope we get to see more from this world in the future. |

Hey Cromulent_Word...
haven't quiet finished yet - very close - but if anything beats the impromptu jam with Jim Guthrie 'neath the bright moon where you can play along with him, I'll be surprised and happy. (note for the curious: that spoiler is at least 60% of the way into the game) One request for future updates... please, PLEASE add the ability to have more than one game going on at a time! My wife wants to play and she can't have a separate game of her own until I finish... |

Okay, beat it last night. A few minor annoyances aside, I absolutely loved it. It's a really unique game in general and there's certainly nothing else like it on the iPad.
Only one thing: I'm at 99% - what the hell did I miss?! :| I thought I did everything... (MAJOR SPOILERS) got all the trigons, obviously jammed with Jim Guthrie beneath the bright moon (one of my favorite moments) went to the concert did not kill the grizzled boor went to the moon grotto and switched the moon to "bright" maybe it's because I switched to the dark moon via system settings instead of in the moon grotto... anyway Cromulent_Word, congrats to you and the entire creative team - it's really something special. |

Hey Cromulent_word,
You guys should look into an AirPlay option for game audio, for the reasons the guy expressed above - it would be great to play this on iPad in my TV room and just send the sound to the speakers. No idea how do-able that is but would be a cool feature. |

While I wait for the iPhone version, I got my friend to use iPhone explorer to see if the artwork was at all extractable in the app file. It was! So I made a wallpaper:
![]() Got to say, holy shit at the amount of animations these dudes have. It's insane. Edit: Another for good measure:

OK, so what is this "#sworcery on an HDTV" that Mr. Guthrie is tweeting about?
And with a PS3 controller mysteriously left sitting there too! http://yfrog.com/h4xx1xej |

Help? 46% into the game...
I found the room in the cave where you sit and the moon phases change. I change it to a full moon and return to the area with the three black triangles (the middle one is lit already) and I smack my sword on the one to the left requiring a "bright moon" and nothing really happens. I've tried doing the song stuff, and nothing works there. I feel like I'm doing it right, or really close to right, because the moon phase matches the phase on the triangle when I smack my sword, but I don't know what to do. I've entered the dream stuff and fought the bear (didn't slay him) and I don't know what to do. Spare the hints, and be obvious if you can. I've been stuck here for well over an hour |

Awesome review from Kill Screen:
http://www.killscreenmagazine.com/ar...rd-sworcery-ep Maybe better to read after beating the game. There aren't really serious spoilers, but there are some things you might not notice while playing that make you realise how much love went into the game. There's a couple of puzzle hints too. |

Played the first couple of episodes of this over the last couple of days. I love it. Not much I can say that hasn't already been said in this thread, just wanted to add another voice to the chorus.

I feel like I'm going nuts over here.
After session 3, when you wake up in the area with the Trigon beams and Logfella is sitting there... I'm just at a loss as to where I need to go, or what to do. I've visited the dream world at different times, and used sworcery just about everywhere with and without mushrooms... Anyone, please?
