It's going to be nice to post in a "HBO TV show based off a book" thread where 90% of the discussion isn't related to the books.
First episode was all over the place, but Bill and Eric pulled it together at the end. That season preview looked really good too. |

Pretty sure they decided to take some stuff in a different direction here. I'm happy with how they've handled it so far. When it broke down into a super gritty fairy war I was really starting to lose faith, but when it jumped back to the characters and caught back up it hooked me back in. I like the direction this is going in so far. I thought season 3 was the best until about episode 8 so we'll see how it all develops.

Oh, besides the epic Bill stuff going on, the episode was fairly mediocre (and tinkering with just bad...especially in the beginning). But Eric and Bill made the episode a lot better...as it should be.
Ugh, Hoyt is gonna have to fuck some people up. |

Sam sorta turned Wayne Coyne on us.
I actually hope they do a subtext with 'vampires and politicans' this season but I think it's going to be....something else with Bill and Eric. Ugh. And what is it with Tara's family and everyone turning gay? And Jessica/Deborah Ann Woll is indeed hot. She could watch TV for an hour and I could watch her watch TV for an hour. Why oh why did Hoyt's mom have to come back to the show? She should have went with Maryann and died. I'm also surprised that Jason is apparently smarter in episode 1 (well....until the end) and Andy is hilarious as always. |
