It's USA's second or third highest rated show depending on the period. (Royal Pains is usually the highest.) And USA considers it one of their key shows to debut new ones after (Royal Pains, Suits, etc.) to try and ensure a base audience.

And it was already renewed for a sixth season back when the fifth season got approved. So there will at least be one more season after this.

Apparently it does pretty well with DVD sales and the limited syndication too.

Is it me or they are pretty much ruined Fiona's characther this season? She went from Ex-IRA strong-willed woman to needy unreasonable teenager. I mean, every fucking episode begins with she craving the attention of her CIA boyfriend that is being set up for murdering a fellow agent.

When Fiona and Charisma were escaping from the female Russian it was really badly shot/edited. They were out in the open for too long, all of the "near misses" stretched any sense that the Russian could shoot and the chase scene had the vehicles sped up to an extent which made it look like a cartoon.

Good ep, but awful action sequence. Even moreso than ones when the show has CGI explosions.

But still, them titties, eh?

Was nice to see more of Michael and Fiona's relationship, too.

I'm really amazed how this show has used the same formula for five seasons now, and is still compelling. The only thing they've added has been Jessie, who I have no problem with.

Yeah it was pretty clunky. I get what they were going for, but it fell short of the usual standards that the show has. Not that it has the most believable scenarios ever, but y'know, they're not usually that unrealistic.

haha, i think about this every week. Not sure why I'm able to overlook the formula. House drove me crazy. I couldn't watch it anymore.

Yep, they have an poor episode every once in a while, but for the most part Burn Notice still kicks a lot of ass.

LOL at Tavian. This show is predictable but fun. That rapidly wrapped up the whole Michael Westen killing Max bit rather quickly.

Yeah, after the build up last episode, I was hoping they'd run the time down and suddenly have Micheal face Tavian after like 4 hours/nearly ending the blockade. Too bad. :/ Would've kept the pressure up until December.

EDIT: Though I suppose there's always the possibility that Larry was just vaporized by the explosion. They certainly were doing a lot to sell how powerful it was.

I skipped like maybe most of seasons 3 and 4, can't remember anymore. Glad that he's no longer blacklisted, but the plot continues to thicken. So Jesse seems like the new addition now, and they now usually split into two teams. I actually like this format. I was bored with the series, so now it seems so fresh.

I'm surprised they're still keeping this main arc going. It's so convoluted it's pretty ridiculous.

I mean, it's still fun to watch, but can ANYONE explain exactly why Michael was burned? Who by? How many people he's gone through?
