Ugh do I really want to line up at FS for the steelbook :(

I'm going to FS at around 9pm; if the line isn't so long that I still have a chance of getting the CE (they have 20 units, apparently), I'll stick it out and get the Steelbook (80 of these in stock).

If not, I'll just make my merry way home and wait till I get my CE in the mail tomorrow, I guess WHICH STILL HASN'T SHIPPED YET

I wouldn't count on each store having that many; it depends on the location. Minimum is supposed to be 10 per store, so there's obviously a lot of variability in that. For reference though, mine is suburban GTA, so it does sound like they aren't on particularly short supply of Steelbooks.

We wont be able to play right away, but have the package meant more than just jumping in a few hours early. I didnt want to order it online in fear of not receiving it in time, but clearly that wouldnt have been a problem :(

That was really well handled. EB got everyone to prepay before midnight. Was maybe 40th in line and I was out by 12:07.

WTF! FS denied me the Steelbook because I bought a CE! I was assured that they'd give out Steelbooks to CE buyers at midnight... this was basically the main reason I lined up. To get both. ARGH

I tried complaining in the store a little, but their intentions were clear. I think I'm going to have to call customer service online tomorrow and hope I can get them to send me one. -_-

Just got back from gamerama. They were open and I was able to get a CE. They marked it up to $139 but I wasn't going to walk out empty handed at that point. To me I could justify it on impulse. I have another CE pre-ordered that I'm not very certain will come through. If it does I will gift it to my brother. This is childhood nostalgia in big box form. Going to watch the making of blu ray now and hopefully get an hour of gameplay in before passing out.

I'm happy about this, because there's a chance Canada Post will actually bother to deliver it to the security guard and save me a trip to their outlet. I always wind up having to go to the Purolator depot to pick up orders, even when I've included my orders for them. I'm convinced the driver assigned to my area simply skips over deliveries to condos/apartments so that he can make better time or something, because they've never left an attempted delivery slip, I've had to check their tracking site to find that info without fail.
