my CE is out for delivery. does anyone else live in an area where CanadaPost puts pick-up cards in your mailbox instead of actually delivering it to your door?
for some reason they sometimes wont let you pick the package up until a day later. I hope this isn't the case today. EDIT: looks like it's been delivered to my local facility where I normally pick parcels up. anyone know if it possible to pick up the package without the little card they leave? i'm asking because my mail is normally delivered at noon with all the other daily mail.

Well that was a midnight launch well spent - my $40 E3 copy is out for delivery already and I had a hell of a time actually getting logged in last night so I just went to bed.
I did it a few weeks back with a Lego shipment from Toys R Us - tracking said available for pick up but I didn't get the delivery slip until the following day - which I enjoyed because I already had my stuff at that point. |

Looks like Futureshop will be doing the $20 off E3 preorders sale again, only this time for Tsilon members only:
http://www.clickonline.com/Magazine/CA/Issue3/ Hopefully it isn't just on one preorder this time. |

"and a $20 savings for level 10 members on any pre-E3 Preorder from June 8th to 14th"
Wouldn't make much sense if the perk was equal to a promotion available to anybody on Futureshop's website. The Pre E3 part must be a type because June 8th is after E3. |

Oh well, guess I'll be ordering from BB instead. It's generally the better deal anyways with the E3 sale combined with the 800 bonus RZ points. It really sucks that either way my money goes to the same company =( |

There are also some good coupons in the issue: ![]() Those coupons have a back to them as well. Not sure if you need to print that as well. The 30% off Vita accessories should be a useful coupon if a Price cut happens at E3. |

I would assume so since they're listed under Accessories on the site.

Hey, looking for some help in Toronto.
My launch 60GB PS3 bit the dust last night with a YLOD. I gave it 24hrs to cool down and checked out some youtube advice, but I don't have the tools to really tackle that. I've been to Gamerama for a 360 drive fix, but that was wasted money and I've only heard the same from others. So I'm hoping someone has had some luck with a YLOD repair in the city. Atrium Gameshack? Game Centre(Danforth/Yonge)? Local PC shop? |

Also, have Steam cards made their way to Gamestops/EBs up here? With my folks in town it'll be an easy way to score a game, but I'd rather a Steam voucher now. |

I'd just order the supplies off of eBay and do it myself guys. There are plenty of videos on youtube and it's really pretty simple. If I can do it (probably the least 'handy' person on this forum, no joke), I think anyone else can. I didn't want to overpay a retailer to do it because who knows what kind of supplies they are using and whether they are doing it properly. Off the top of my head I think you'd need:
- Heat gun ($20-$30) - Torx screwdriver (~$5) - Standard Philips Screwdriver + Smaller Philips Screwdriver (Not sure, I had a few lying around at home) - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste ($10) - Flux pen (optional, $8) For much cheaper than going to a store you can have the satisfaction of knowing you have the best supplies and did a good job. |
