Yeah this. Also in the past they have done trade in promotions when new systems come out offering increased credit when trading in a system for the new one. They must have way too much supply to offer that this time. Another reason why they are only offering $60.

Actually it is still a rip off but convenience sometimes over takes that. It doesn't make it any less of a rip off though.

at the $60 pricepoint, i'd rather sell it to a friend. i can think of many people who would easily jump into the 3ds world at that pricepoint. i suggest people doing the ebgame tradein consider that. it makes you feel good to give a friend a good deal, and you'd get someone else to game with (if you are upgrading to the 3ds xl).

I just did a really dumb thing: I went to Future Shop with 5 games for the trade, and of course, one of the disks was not in its case! Gamestop in the US was giving $100 trade-in for a 3DS for an XL, so EB Games only giving $60 is a ripoff. I totally think you could sell a used 3DS for $100, but definitely more than $60, and it's not that hard to find a buyer between kijiji/craigslist/eBay.

Yeah, it's weird. I went through that process back in the summer for the Vita games, but when I did it this time, they just entered the credit values directly into the actual sale. Different stores seem to have different policies anyway.

Champion Jockey PS3 (EB) - $14.

I had pretty good luck (in London, Ont). Found the last Max Payne 3 at Walmart, and the only Champion Jockey in EB. I had to search a few Staples for one that had more than a few token games.

The Futureshop guys who did the trade in were cool about it, though it took forever. Pretty happy to have picked up this system for $75.

Dixie & Dundas has Blue units in stock (Vaughan & Brampton have both colours, but of course much further out), and you get without 20 minutes walking via TTC (80 bus that circles around Sherway is probably an easy bet, or just walk from Kipling which will take a while longer). Of course, if he has a car, less of an issue.

He should call stores and confirm they're not stocked though. Dundas & Yonge FS weren't showing any stock on launch day, but they had hundreds if not a thousand in.

And Max Payne was $20 only on the weekend sadly.
