Look at the game. Kids love Pokemon and Nintendo knows that a 3DS title would sell tons of units to kids. The game looks more targeted towards that demographic than the more substantial Pokemon games, and it also doesn't exactly look like it had a lot of work put into it. Even the title, Pokemon Rumble Blast!!, reeks of an attempt to grab children's attention. Reminds me of Sonic X-Treme!
Edit: Well, yeah, it's obvious, but humorous to me.

As a note, the developer of this game, Ambrella, is actually more internal than outsourced and has made nothing but pokemon games since it was formed. The quality has certainly been...mixed, though.
Hey You, Pikachu! Pokemon Channel Pokemon Dash My Pokemon Ranch Pokemon Rumble To their credit, the Rumble games are the most game-like and interesting of the bunch. This is not a desperate or shameless move for Nintendo; this is an expected outcome considering the developer. |

Still no OT? I'm hoping to pick up my preorder of this today. The WiiWare version was a lot of fun, and with all the Pokemon included this one should be much more substantial.
This is basically a loot game, except the loot you're collecting is more Pokemon of higher and higher levels and money to buy new moves. The WiiWare version didn't have a ton of substance, but it had me hooked for a good while trying to farm higher level Pokemon and shinies. I've been looking forward to this since the original announcement. Hopefully someone will make an OT and it won't get crapped up with negativity like every other topic about this game has. |

I played it a bit at the Nintendo store yesterday - honestly, it seemed fun, but very simple. I guess it would depend on how the Pokemon collecting and upgrading works.
The 3D effects are way better than you would think, but the texture work and such isn't that great. |

I've already put about 10 hours into the game and I'm on Chapter 3 now. It still has the same problem as the original - you can't level up so you can't be picky about using your favorite Pokemon most of the time - but it's still the same fun game, this time expanded into a much longer story mode.

I know this is an old topic, but I've been playing this game again recently, and the later parts of it are surprising me actually. Although the plot isn't zomg amazing, I'm amazed it even has one! Also surprised at the new ways of going through certain areas like the Team Battles and the Flag Charge. Also, some of the tracks are surprisingly good.
Either way, I'm enjoying my time with it! It's too bad most of the peeps here just brushed it off as a quick cash-in. :( |
