It's not by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright. It's written by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It's a pretty funny movie thanks to Pegg and Frost being so awesome together, but it's nowhere near Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Its enjoyable though even if it never hits the high points like shaun of the fuzz.

Oh my god. So excited. These 2 are brilliant together. Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead are both 2 of my favorite comedies. Spaced is amazing as well.

This can't come soon enough.

A bad one so they have an excuse to can the project, but Wright keeps churning out awesome ones.

They're actually dedicating a significant amount of their time to writing the motherfucker now. Hot Fuzz might be my favourite comedy EVER.

Agreed on both fronts.

Awful title though - when people hear the words 'At Worlds End' they'll recall the pirates film...and nobody wants to remember that.

Simon Pegg gives update.

When we do The World's End we're not going to do blogs from the set, which we did with Hot Fuzz and Paul, because we want to maintain some mystique...We're just waiting to make it now. The second the green light goes on we will go...That's our goal.
So I guess the script is finished?!

JUST PLUG IT INTO MY VEINS!

I remember asking Wright back in 2010 when The World's End was coming and he said he he didn't expect it to happen for a long, long goddamn time. I'm so glad its finally coming together.

I am actually suprised it's happening, what with Wright making box office poison (Scott Pilgrim), Pegg being Tom Cruises new pet and Frost...well no idea what does when Pegg isn't feeding him work.

As a fan of Spaced (their best work) I am bummed they are not still working with Jess / Daisy.

I saw Hot Fuzz and enjoyed it. Haven't seen Shaun of the Dead which I know is a mistake. Had no idea that the 2 have always been a part of some intended "trilog"

I also didn't notice that this thread was from 2011, so going from comments that say "They are gonna start writing a movie next month!" to "Movie written, gonna start shooting!" was slightly jarring.

Paul had some studio interference and they had to dumb down the comedy. They spoke about it on Top Gear, although, they were still fairly positive on the whole experience.
