See Nintendo? If you released more games, then Wii sales wouldn't drop so much all the time.

For the benefit of anyone who wasn't around back in the original Xbox days, the Xbox sold 0 a few times on Media-Create before they stopped tracking it. I remember when it first dropped to the single digits and people giggled, but the first "0" was amazing.

There's even a meme picture with a giant bold black 0, bill gates in a geeky pose inside it, and the quote "Solid, if not spectacular" at the bottom. I'm sure someone can dig it up. Google searches reveal two other posts I made in 2010 and 2009 pointing this out and mentioning the image, but no copies of the actual image :/

You know, I was about to ask when weŽd stop counting the NDS, since the 3DS is out, but then I saw that weŽre still counting the PS2.

Anyways, is Rhythm Tengoku that big of a release? Thought it was a rather quirky niche-title.

The DS version sold over 1.800.000 copies in Japan.

The Little Battlers's lead will be pretty significant by the end of the year.
It's an ongoing media franchise, which has a great impact on the legs of a title.

Part of me actually wants to buy one, but knowing that the PSP Vita can basically do all the go can do, it would be a waste of money.

Did No More Heroes RZ just beat the LTDs of the old Wii and PS3 versions combined, in one week?

Yeah. I just had my doubts, but it beat Last Story. Hope it gets better legs than the former, hehe.

And it didn't beat the LTD of the both versions combined, but it easily got the best first week sales and as a standalone game, it's already the one with the biggest sales, so, that's really something.

After this, i guess they should port NMH2, since the first week sales of this one was at 8/9k and it disappeared right after the first week. Quite bad. :/

Nearly. Looks like PS3 one hit around 26K by the end of last year, and the Wii version did at least 20K in its first four weeks.

I missed the last few of these threads. What caused the Wii Hardware revival? Price drop? Last time I visited the media create thread it was selling 6-9k a week.

They have a new bundle with Wii Sports Resort I believe coupled with some bigger software releases like Inazuma Eleven and Rhythm Tengoku.

Golden Eye surpassed most people's expectations, but Wii Play: Motion bombed beyond belief (though I think it might just stay at the level it's until Christmas).

It's too soon to say that Wii motion bombed. It didn't have the best start, but neither did Wii Party, Mario Sports Mix, Epic Yarn and others that did manage some great sales.

If you compare those first week sales, wii motion got easily the worst of them, but who knows. Nintendo is well know for it's crazy legs. We'll have to wait and see.

Thanks. I wonder if the new bundle will be enough to keep Wii above 10k for the next couple months. I also wonder what this holiday season will look like for the Wii.

The bundle is priced as the stand-alone Wii sold before so it can be seen as a sort of price-cut.

Only Sylvia is nude (still covers her parts with her hands though).
And as far as I'm aware, the US release is Red Zone.

would a stand-alone Wii Play Motion SKU save it from totally bombing? iirc, Wii Party's remote SKUs did bad but the standalone is the one that sold well.

also, ouch Starfox. it looks like it will become a collector's item in the long run like early DS games that sold bad.

Wii Play Motion I think came way too late. Where's the excitement now to play multiplayer MotionPlus games? And with basically every other MotionPlus game having been released with the add-on or the new remote, there's not much point to this package.

How is the sales for the new PSP Basara game compared to the first one?

I thought it was surprising that a second PSP Basara game came out even though the first one didn't seem that great.

Man, I have a feeling we might not be seeing a new Starfox game for a long, long time.
