Anyone as excited as I am?! They are on twitter( http://twitter.com/garbage ) and Facebook( http://www.facebook.com/GarbageOfficial ) now, so is Shirley Manson ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shirle...on/27037696386 ). Butch Vig recently posted on twitter that they are close to picking the final tracks for the album. Their official website is getting redone http://garbage.com/ Their last album came out in 2005 "Bleed Like Me" |

I'm quite interested. Their third album was poor but Bleed Like Me was mostly quite good, if a bit monotone. If they can get anywhere near their first two albums I'll be delighted, they're both in my regular rotation.
Butch Vig and Manson have in the past said their more mellow songs are among their favorites. If we get more tracks like Milk, The Trick is to Keep Breathing and You Look So Fine, yay. I really like Shirley Manson. Hopefully she brings her A game. |

I'm really interested on how it might turn out. First two discs are incredible, third is rubbish and fourth is a mixed bag, so it's not like they are in straight decline. After a 6-7 years hiatus if they are coming back I guess they are at least motivated to do something new. I have faith in Butch and Shirley.

I'd give them an ear.
Sadly, their last album was one of the suckiest album of the decade. |
