Price cut doesn't happen until Aug11/12th. Why would anyone buy it before the price cut happens? It's no big deal to wait two weeks.

Entire week was between the announcement of the price drop and the date of the price drop. Last week's sales included a few days prior to the announcement.

Oh it will bounce back in style. I think PS3 Slim sales fell after price drop was announced in 2009, and did 150k after price drop in Japan. Same should apply to 3DS I guess.
