Being begged a baby by an old/older F-buddy
#1
So yesterday I was chatting to this woman that I met with for pretty much just sex at two different points in my life. Last one was like a year and a bunch ago. And not two words after hello she told me:
Quote:
Then she went on and on about how I would never need to see the baby, how it all would be hassle-free on my side, she will never tell the kid nothing unless I wanted to and blah blah blah. When I asked "and why would you think of me for that?" she replied something along the lines of:
Quote:
Nah. This is more about how can people be such fucking wackos. We are talking about a 36 year old woman with a stable job working museums and something on the side creating/selling art. She should probably act a bit more reasonable. |

An ex-girlfriend contacted me, and after a few conversations, asked me if I would get her pregnant.
I told her I had a vasectomy. |

I dunno. Even if I was in such a situation where I just need to get the chick pregnant without taking responsibility for the kid, I don't think I could go through with it. Because in the end, the kid is still MY kid, and after growing up with a shithead of a father, I'd never want to bail on my kids.
edit: saw the pic. wouldn't. :/ |

I've been in this situation before, except I was never in a relationship with the person in question. The suggestion isn't surprising when you consider her 'biological clock'. What does surprise me, however, is how anyone would want to have a child with a man who was willing to take up an agreement where he'd never have to know, meet, support or care for the child.

Eh this is the age where women feel they don't need men. Usually after a life time of not being to have a good long term relationship with one. But there are single moms who do it without dad, so many women are deciding screw trying to find a man they're compatible with, they'll just get the kid which is all they really wanted anyway. I am on the fence over this.
It sucks for the kid to have to grow up single parent. But it also sucks just as much to be some dude married to a crazy person who only married you so you could give her the children she needs. I am for fewer crazy people breeding. But if she pays the sociological price, then she's paid the price. She probably figured since you were a wham-bam, that you might have a kid with no strings and just sign over legal responsonsibilties. That doesn't say she couldn't hit you for child support ever. |

I don't know what would happen if my Dad got pissed and went to court. I don't know if willing letting it slide for many years would negate everything. |
