Nice job on the 7-goal game ph33nix. Tried to keep hooking you up for the record but it wasn't meant to be. Nice 3-1-0 start to the month. Could have been better if Legit wasn't using scotch tape for an ethernet cord.
Got my 900th point tonight. :D

Shitty hosting on the other team. When they hosted, you couldn't get in. When we hosted they backed out.

I went. It was glorious.
Anyway, I dusted out the old NHL tonight and realized a few things. 1) Doughty is a beast (didn't bother making new be a pro players, just stuck with the NHL players), even in NHL11. 2) I feel awkward even playing with a right-handed shot, I intuitively try to shoot left on the controller and... yeah. 3) I will forever have respect for whoever is good at playing goalie in this game, I simply can't do it. 4) My stick broke 2 times in the VERY FIRST period I played. Wtf is up with that. (and then it broke a 3rd time in my second game, Jesus) |

It does sound terrible......terribly delicious! I put poutine ingredients on my grocery list. Gonna have it during the game tomorrow night. :D
Stick breaks are really random. Sometimes you'll go several games without one and other times they'll break every few shots. |

Terrible first game guys. Really bad. I don't know how we can continue.
Only 17 goals after all of those powerplays. Set some records tonight. Good games Marv, Vis, Noz. Final stats of the first game. Score: 17-0 G/A/P/+-/hots ACES: 8/4/12/2/25 Marv: 4/7/11/1/15 Noz: 3/7/10/2/11 Vis: 0/3/2/10 I assume I scored at least 6 PPG since I went +2 but I may have assisted on one. Did break goals, points, shots, ppg per game. The forwards all finished 1-2-3 in the club record for points. Poor Vis made one defensive play in what was a powerplay filled game for us.

I found the game funny as hell. Of course they weren't trying but it's still nice to have fun, score a ton of goals, and just fool around. There isn't a single team in the EASHL who wouldn't have quit on purpose after being down 13-0. |

far as it going to shit afterwards, I thought we played pretty well in all of the games until the last game when we all made our fair share of mistakes against a very beatable team |

I don't feel pain like you mere mortals, you must have forgotten that I am a THREE TIME ALL-STAR. I'll have you know that it took extraordinary skill just to limit myself to 3 points in that game on purpose, but you peons wouldn't know about that! :) |

The second game we should have won especially with a 5 on 3 in OT. I wasn't focusing as much as I should have especially where I was compared to others. I think in game 2, I spent about 30 seconds humping Marv I was so close to him. Hopefully, my guy starts improving and I can add more stats into certain attributes. I'll be up for some games tonight. |

...seeing as I've had NHL11 and 12 from day one, you'd think I'd've remembered to swing by this thread.
Definitely going to be in on 13, and would love a spot in the connected GM league if there'll be openings. Generally play LW, but am generally serviceable on D. Don't have much online experience, though, so I'd probably be the absolute worst. If you're ever low on people, would be fun to try it out with you guys, though. |

Good games tonight. Made some mistakes here and there but overall we played pretty well. Legit got his 500th assist and I got my 500th goal.
Aces/Legit, having mics on would really help us out on offense. We get jumbled up a lot in the offensive zone and it's easier to plan things out if we can communicate. Also, wings need to make sure they stay out and cover the opposing defensemen. You guys were dropping way down by the net too often. We didn't get burned tonight but none of the teams we played really utilized those garbage slapshots as much as some teams do. |

Playing a bunch of cheesers would have been more fun than sitting through the Sony conference. Holy shit.

I thought Sony was a lot better. They showed actual games. Though I don't own a PS3 but a ton of games look fun. Wish I had the money. PS: Here is a thread with a ton of community impressions about skating engine. It's obviously well-received (but interesting remarks) We should be getting footage as it is at E3. NHL had a live event chat last year but not sure of plans for this year. |

Yeah......
EA isn't doing a live chat this year. They're showing it on Wednesday I believe so we should get new info after that. |

Damn, I mean the chats aren't so great but they have 1-2 tidbits with a ton of footage. I do want to see it in action and maybe some improvements/confirmations on other things. I saw this amazing NHL 2k10 video the other day and all of their physics. Made me really jealous. I'll try to find it again but NHL 2k10 was really ahead of NHL in that department. |

2K10 was way ahead of EA's physics. A lot of it is simple stuff that could easily be worked into the game. . |

Still holding out for my e3 shocker. 2k Hockey is back with EHM team rehired from Sega to do the player stats and dynasty all on the PC/360/ps3. PS. Online btw for games tonight. |

Decent night except the one game where we got our assholes kicked in. Had to change up my guy afterwards. Ever since the playoffs I haven't been able to do anything except hit, which is the complete opposite of the way it was before. Hopefully the changes fix my guy because it's been really frustrating lately.

gg's tonight
nice job... -putting the puck in the net and pressuring fools at the blue line, ACES -taking timely penalties, escaping the penalty box via the bench and shooting directly at the goalies low glove all night, MARV -doing whatever you did out there tonight, that and your jovial Canadian spirit willed us to victory, NOZ -scoring on all those slapshots and playing your normal barely adequate defense for most of the night, my back doesn't hurt as much tonight from carrying you, SHOW |
