Yeah this episode was weird for me. I liked it the first time but thinking about it now it is kinda stupid. The whole "mimic boxing" thing just came out of nowhere (going from blinking lights to pure telekinesis in an instant was a bit of a stretch IMO). Jones attacking alone with a crowbar just seems so weird... why would he expose himself like this with no weapons? Alone too?
Also lol'ed at the whole "oh yeah forgot to tell you but cortexiphan has regenerating properties too". Kind of a deus ex machina they're setting up here for Olivia's death. Ok not really since technically it is a foreshadowing, but still feels like a cheap move. I'll reserve my judgement until I see what happens though. |

We did see Olivia use telekinetic powers in the Season 3 finale so the whole Kinect boxing thing didn't really take me by surprise. The lemon cake regeneration was kinda stupid though, it would've made a lot more sense if they used it on a human. How the hell is a lemon cake supposed to know what form it should be in? It's just a mixture of ingredients. If it was a human I'd believe it because of DNA but a lemon cake....seriously? I know they used pig brain as an excuse but that should've regenerated a pig brain, not a lemon cake.

The Peter wiping really was a brilliant idea because it made all these awesome things possible again. I feel like the future episode was a terrible idea for the exact opposite reason, we know how Walter, Peter & Astrids stories will end in the show now, or at least that they wont be dead by the end of it. That weakened the impact of Jones going after Peter and Astrid getting shot. We also know that Olivia is going to have a child before she dies...so there's really no threat to anyone we care about.
Hopefully Bells plan somehow undoes the Observer future, though that seems unlikely as it makes the future episode 100% pointless. |

Some of you guys are hard to please, sure the "kinect Olivia" and underwhelming Jones death were stupid, but still, there's some overreaction here. I just watch Fringe and enjoy what they give us, a season(and even another one later this year) that should logically not even exist with the show popularity, and at this point... i dont try to make sense of all this rewritten universe and just sit back and relax while i watch new Fringe episodes.

Like i said, i stopped trying to make sense of the rewritten universe and just watch Fringe to see more Walter craziness and weird shit happening. It's better that way and the show still deliver for both of these, even if it doesnt always make sense. :P

there's absolutely no way that is a spoiler if its something so prominently featured in a trailer. just... no possible way. it's going to be some one-off moment that ultimately doesn't "really" happen. fox wouldn't be that stupid.

So are we never going back to the future with Peter and his grown up daughter?
What red herring? Isn't that William Bell's plan as well? DRJ and Bell were working together towards the same goal. DRJ "had to die" according to last week's episode in order to move the plan along. |

I think most people liked that episode and are excited to see more of the future plotline, but some weren't really into it. I liked it and think going back to it will be a nice way to distance myself from the current plotline which will be for the best. And well I think the plotline itself has a lot of potential. In hindsight, I'm not sure they should have aired it at 19 though. Takes some of the drama out of the current storyline (with Astrid alive and Bell appearing).
