It's not a case of leaving GT5 altogether for me. It's just being such a big F1 fan I'm gonna spend a lot of time with 2011 rather than GT. That's not to say that I won't play GT5 with you guys just depending on how good F1 is I might end up playing that more.

Same thing here - and as long as I feel that you guys enjoy the races we do, I'll keep organizing them. GT offers so much more than fast open-wheel cars, and as such gives a nice change of pace from F1.

This Sunday we will use a muscle car, I'm leaning towards the Mach 1. I will post the details tonight.

I should add that the last race was great. Even though I fielded the wrong car (had woken up early to watch the Italian GP and didn't pay attention), driving with experienced good people is always fun. Also, I only got lapped once which is some achievement!

The kart races after were also very cool. Here is a snapshot of the moment where I had a taste of victory... just before the corkscrew claimed another victim and made my kart get some air.



Looking forward to the next race, this time I will have the wheel set up and ready.

I'm in. Not that I have any say in it lol. ABS off could be interesting. Been a while since I've raced without it but could be lots of fun. First turn could be madness though. Storming downhill in heavy ass Mach's with no grip and people locking wheels, sounds glorious :p

Risk Breaker might be able to make it as well - if everyone shows up we have a pretty nice grid on Sunday.

As we're definitely going to do heavy damage (I'm not changing my mind this time), I suggest people get some practice in the car. Sports Hard, 400+ BHP, heavy car and 70s technology makes for a ... interesting experience. I think 95 % of us will have to do at least one pit stop. Tyres wear out pretty fast as well, so if you manage to avoid the walls you will probably need a pit stop anyway.

I tried convincing Toxa, but he adamantly stated that he was retired. He might show up after the race to do a few shorter races with us, but he wouldn't commit to the main race.

As for lap times I've done 1:27.5xx, ashk did 1:27.19x and toxa did 1:27.7xx (at least I think it was 1:27, not sure now).
