Love the whole Greendale Asylum part, certainly felt like a homage to a certain movie I can't mention for fear of spoiling.

It's called a spoiler tag. The board has them for a reason. I can honestly say I have no idea what you're talking about and it is extremely annoying.

The whole montage of clips including the weird teachers was probably the funniest scene this season. Shirley with the gun shape cut of the book, Pierce's bathroom trip, "Ladders", "Fries!", the not breathing class... so good.

Watching the episode now and ignoring the last few pages for spoilers.

But holy shit, this is the funniest episode so far this year. S3 > S1 >>> S2

Also, I would probably film Annie sleeping, too. Maybe I need to be in crazy people jail.

Sigh... do they really need to keep bringing up Inspector Spacetime?

It's stupid and not funny, at all.

EDIT: So basically another 'Abed is crazy' episode, but it was definitely funny.

I loved the attention to detail and the callbacks (Annie's reaction to Don Draper, for one).

Good episode, John Hodgman actually fitting the role quite well, "Britta's right. ...Wait, what?",
Another episode where all the little things are the most humorous part. I can't wait to see how this all unravels, and hopefully it's not all solved in the first of next weeks triathlon of Community.

Not sure I like Abed's comment about not needing another paintball though. How else will he finally win over Annie?

Well, I got a huge Shutter Island vibe from it. Rejecting your reality and constructing a new one to escape your past?

Eh, you can mention Shutter Island or Cabinet of Dr. Caligari or whatever "asylum" movie you were thinking of without spoiling them. Community reminded me of those.

I wasn't as hype about this ep as everyone else was. Wasn't as good as most stuff from season 1 or 2. But i don't want to be a party pooper it was one of the better eps this season.

That's probably one of my biggest qualms in the show. A lot of the stuff is callbacks to previous stuff. When it was new all of the jokes and character quirks were new but now it's getting old and kind of feels a little insular.

They really need new material

I'd like the writers to remind Jeff he's trying to get a degree or diploma or whatever he'd get for the program he's in (Diploma in TV-ology?) and that's something he has to do rather quickly or end up being the new Pierce.

Had hoped this might be the episode that forces Abed's character to finally get over being Abed. The show's fascination with his character is holding everyone else back.

Wasn't that much of a cliffhanger. I mean it definitely leads into next weeks finale episodes, but it wasn't a shocker.

HE'S NOT LEAVING PEOPLE. This show is his passion project. I bet tracing this idiotic rumor back would lead to a 14-year-old girl on twitter who came into some writer's block while working on some Garrett/Vicki/Britta fan fiction.

If I say the name of the movie I'll potentially spoil the major plot twist for it. If you really want to spoil yourself its Shutter Island.

When I saw John Hodgman with that mustache on the Daily Show, I assumed it was fake. He does not look like he should be able to grow a full 'stache like that.

Excellent episode.

I just started watching the first 6 episodes of season 1 and so far I am really into this show. Don't know how such a gem could gone under in my TV radar. If the remaining episodes keep being this good I am tempted to catch up until season 3 this weekend instead of studying, shopping, going out or participating in any other stupid social convention.

Yes, watch them in order. I got into the show when I casually watched an episode in season 2 that focused on Dungeons and Dragons. I immediately bought season 1 and 2 on iTunes and caught up. The show works best when watched in a linear fashion. I'm jealous of all the episodes that are going to be new to you. You lucky bastard.

It wasn't as good as the previous 5 episodes. Mainly because the flashbacks were hit and miss, and it tasted a little too Changy. But it did have John Hodgman and he took the whole episode up a level.
