This looks really impressive. I also really, really appreciate that someone is taking a good stab at renewing hand-to-hand combat outside of a fighting game. You got great shooting but hand-to-hand is always so lackluster and feels stupid. Also nice insights into mechanics and solutions from his channel.
Oh yeah, and I see someone is taking blood serious. Nice.

Keeping my eyes open for this. :-)

Do enemies have power bars? Or does each part of the body have power?

Seems like they have only one or two extremely skilled programmers.

It looks spiritually comparable to Bushido Blade. I can imagine mentally sparring with your opponent for minutes before anyone actually goes in for the attack.

The game's coming with an exhaustive SDK, so a fanmade Berserk mod is a possibility.

It's a terrific engine with smart and wonderfully easy modding tools.

Seriously, these guys are on par with the big guns. Amazing animation and transitions, fluid and thoughtful combat, plus it looks terrific as well.

Preorder at your pleasure. I haven't regretted it.

I remember reading about this a year and a half ago, maybe longer. Man, all the new videos look incredibly good, especially for a 1-3 man team or whatever it is. Honestly, I'm about to pre-order it. I've seen enough to convince me that the final product will be fucking amazing. That combat, and damn at those animations...

Went for it, I'm convinced at this point.

Eh, there are probably fewer furries interested in this game than non-furries. Despite using anthropomorphic animals as characters, I don't think the devs are even part of the fandom either.

I don't know, the forum seems filled with people more inclined about the tech and combat mechanics. At least, I've not seen any wolves mounting seductive rabbits in the general thread.

Not even going to lie, watching all the Alpha change videos got me interested.

This is what I imagine a actual good Naruto game should play like, two characters speeding down a hill jumping at each other in mid-air exchanging blows and then being able to freely run about the map. Dodging, tripping, weapons, wallrunning/climbing.

I'm keeping an eye out for this.

Also for those complaining about teh furries, game allows you to make your own :)

Mouse and keybaord to start with, but I'm sure they'll add controller support if someone asks. The devs seem very responsive to fan requests.

And again, modding SDK. It won't take long for someone to reskin the game to generic medieval humans, elves, orcs, etc.

I keep watching some of the more recent change videos and shit, the guy is savvy to say the least. Anyone know if he is in the industry already? I am incredibly impressed, especially by the things he's done for climbing animations, blood, and just the look of the combat.

The character design really doesn't bother me, but I'm not really "in the know" when it comes to furry fandom.

It's actually the most tasteful piece of anthropomorphic design since...what...Inherit the Earth?

Beautiful music, amazing environmental sound design. Very thoughtful.

And the combat is sheer grace and brutality in equal measure.

Thanks for that video link, that was pretty awesome history. I remember now, I was watching videos when Rabbot first started appearing. Must have been a long time ago!

I'm really excited for the future of this game. Are they planning on doing things like NPCs, quests, things like this?

Anthros arent "Furries", furries are the fans of anthropomorphic characters.

To put it in an easier way ...
"In the simplest sense furries are fans of anthropomorphic animals. That is, animals with human like features or tendencies (Fox McCloud, Sonic the Hedgehog... etc)"
Funny, I have researched this and apparently if you ask 10 furries what it means to be a furry you will likely get 10 different answers but this is the basic definition.

So no, it doesn't have to be sexual. A furry can simply be someone who just likes anthro characters with out wanting to have sex with them or see them have sex with each other. People get the notion that the whole of "Furry Fandom" are the ones who dress up in fur-suits or are into yiff and such but no, thats not it. Just like with everything there is a spectrum ranging from "normal" to "not-so-normal".

In other words, being a furry just means that you like anthropomorphic characters. Thats it. How you choose to express that is a whole other topic that will land you somewhere on that spectrum.

there is no furries spectrum. if you call yourself a furry you are face flat against the one wall of your brain damage spectrum there, not there other. there is no nuance to this garbage.

I actually got a promo code last week for 2x Logitech Dual Action controllers for $5.00 shipped. They are USB with mappable buttons so even games that don't necessarily support controllers can work by using Logitech's own Profiler Software.

I would assume something like this would work fine for this game even though it may take some time to get it set up properly.
