It worked for Deus Ex:HR without consequence, but I can't say anything for certain.

Oh and the VPN has to be running all the time while steam is online so I just open steam with the VPN to unlock the game, then use steam in offline mode until it releases in my region.

I genuinely cant remember the last time i was looking forward to a game so much.
A couple of years a go i would have been counting down the days to Gears of War. Im really not bothered about that now, bring on the F1 goodness!

Having skipped on F1 2010, i foresee a lot of time being lost to this!

The problem with us Brits at an 8pm/9pm start time is that it's on a Saturday - so I will hardly make any as I will be likely going out. I will let FV handle the issue.

Anything later than 5:30 - 6:00pm and I couldn't make most races. It would definitely clash with plans etc.

I know it's not ideal for Yanks/Aussies, but it worked well enough last year. I'd be inclined to say keep it the same, personally. It's unfortunate that it means early mornings/very late nights for some, but since it was okay last year I think it will work again. I completely understand if people don't want to wake up that early, but eh. It seems like the best time for Europeans and Americans who made the up the majority of the league last year. It really is a numbers thing.

If people feel really, really passionate about it and want the time changed then it can be, but I'm not sure how many Brits would be able to take part then. I love the league, but I'm not going to pick it over a night out with mates :P

About the league: what format did you use online? P1 / P2 / Q1 / Q2 / Q3 / Race? Or did you shorten it?

1 qualifying session of 15 minutes and then straight into the race was the only option last year.

I think it's all we need, to be honest, even if more is available this year.

Should wait and see what the numbers are like... there may be enough interest in another league with a time more suitable for those who have a social life *and* live in the world's best continent.

Sure we can practice by ourselves, but wouldn't it be nice to start the server say 30 minutes early and let those that want to log on early do so? Or perhaps I don't really understand how the servers for F1 works... :)

If the car performance option is set to 'equal' then yes, otherwise the cars will be in 'speed order'.

IIRC in F1 2010 the Red Bull was the quickest car and the HRT was the slowest car.

You have the choice to set them up as 2011 relative performance, or for them all to be equal. At least, those were the choices in the previous game.

Neither will I. :P But the Virgin was my favourite in 2010 and it'll be my car of choice online in 2011, but I was a bit worried that they'd be lacking KERS even with equal performance, because I really like the idea of KERS in a gaming situation.

What? Clearly my rants wore you out and you tuned out. I ranted constantly about this. DX 11 loads like 10 times faster. 3 seconds vs 30 (Maybe it's an exaggeration, but it doesn't feel like it). One of the many reason it was so frustrating that Codemasters can't/won't address the DX11 bug with their engine.
