With how broken down his house was and the amount of money he maybe got from gnb, it's very possible he bought the house outright. I just can't see a way for them to justify ted living outside of the city

Also why would he move out of the apartment into another apartment ? Doesn't make much sense there |

I caught up on season 7 last night and this evening in enough time to watch the new episode. The last one I saw was the one where Barney makes the bet over the ducky tie, so it was a lot of episodes. I gotta say Robin was a cold bitch in the episode where time slows for certain people. It really hit home. I really felt for Barney there. This season has been pretty good at taking you somewhere new every episode, unlike season 6. This episode was okay, but the ending was good. I can't wait until March for the next one.

because the whole point was that that apartment had too much space for one person and too many bad memories for ted. I dunno, I guess we'll see.

I thought it was mostly the memories, not necessarily the size of the place. Hence why the trigger for him to move on was his imagination telling him that "she'll always be here no matter what you do."

however I feel that moving to another apartment is not moving foward but moving side ways . Moving into his house and fixing it up for his future would be much nicer to see. Also i'm really scared that if they move him out they might take the chance and introduce another character as his roomate with the potential to replace Marshal next season. |

I wonder if the song played at the end of last week's episode was supposed to be foreshadowing Ted "shaking it out" and moving out.
From Shake it out : "I've been a fool, and I've been blind. I can never leave the past behind." He couldn't leave his past with Robin and stay in the apartment. Eh? |

A really great episode. Quinn is so mega hot. I hope they don't go back to the whole Robin arc with Barney, I don't like her character anymore - they aren't made for one another. I do agree that Ted is likely going to dwell in his suburban home and make sure it's fixed faster than before.
Also, what's that instrumental track that played during the strip club scene half way into the episode when Ted and Barney walk in and Barney came to deliver flowers to Quinn? I freaking hear it everywhere - random TV shows and I think even a videogame (I want to say Forza 4)

Speaking of stuff, here's the next episode's synopsis: The Broath The gang tries to break up Barney and Quinn (Becki Newton) after learning they plan on moving in together, leaving Robin and Ted to fight over who deserves to sublet her apartment. Airs March 19. |

I liked this episode. I liked the idea of Barney getting played but I wish they did it a little better. You'd think with all of Barney's schemes he'd recognize what was happening. His romance with Quinn seems a little forced although the moment in the coffee shop at the end was nice. I still think he had much better chemistry with Nora, though.
I really enjoy the fact that they're moving things forward. It doesn't just feel like they're spinning their wheels with another long-term Ted story that we know goes nowhere. |

Hope you have cable shows to watch, because the networks are (mostly) going to be useless for the next couple weeks. |

Not a bad episode, not a great one either. I guess I just really liked last weeks.

Wow, awesome episode. While the storylines weren't that great, the writing was finally back to where it was several seasons ago. I loved the scenes with Barney/Quinn (the last one was actually kind of touching) and laughed out loud several times at Ted's slapstick secenes. Impeccable comic timing in those.
I hope HIMYM is finally hitting its stride again. Last week's episode was nice, the one before that was one of the funnier ones in a long time, and this week's is giving me a lot of hope. |

They are his kids. They showed the mothers buss from the apartment and the yellow umbrella. Right now they are ending what they mentioned from what Victoria said that Ted and Barney both want Robin. Barney will wind up with Robin.

At one point he asks the children if he's a bad father for telling all those stories. I'm pretty sure they're his children

Thus, the girl you're seeing is actually 5-6 years older right now. |

Just finished watching straight through from S1-7. It really started out funny, then lost steam, and now seems to be picking it up again. It's too bad S7 is already almost over!
(The best part about some of these seasons is the bloopers that were on the DVD's. They're hilarious!) |

if the show goes a few more seasons he can marry the grown up daughter. Play her off as the mother .
Lyndsy Fonseca who plays the Daughter is now 25 years old. That would fit the time line . She was 18 when she filmed the pilot (could have been 17 but going by imdb) and she was dressed and styled to look younger. Depending on when we see the mother she could be 26 and looking at movies like five a little make up and she looks older. I dunno
