I thought this was a very weak episode. None of the three angles worked for me.

I liked the pun about "school's favorite" tho.

Yeah. Even in the gif of Gloria letting of the shoe, he watches as the shoe falls. Awesome!

I was DEAD at this joke. Jay's reaction was hilarious.

The video with Clyde was hilarious too, and I wonder if they actually did upload that vid to youtube,

"...What exactly are you carving?"

"Offensive line"
"Sorry, African American kid..."

It's sad that Claire is the exactly same person as my mother.

It's also too bad they ruined the Jewish joke in the previews during Suburgatory, cause that was gold.

EDIT: David Cross?!?!?!

Tobias, yay!

Everything about this episode was a win. I laughed so much at the basketball stuff, the Manny storyline and Cam/Gloria absolutely killed me. The last few episodes have been decent but this is a proper return to form. It's still the funniest current show on TV

MF is probably in my top 5 comedies on right now, but it's not number one. It's way too inconsistent, especially after its second season.

I mean, the cast, crew, writers, etc. are all crazy talented and deserve success. But I wouldn't say it's my favorite comedy on right now.

I don't think it's that inconsistent, a few duds but even though S2 isn't as good as S1 they were both hilarious overall.

That was indeed a hilarious episode. Everything about it was perfect - though I was expecting Gloria to have taken the wrong dog. Hahaha.

But yeah, Street Car Named Desire, the Jew joke, Blindside jokes, David Cross, all of it was ace. They have really strayed from the formulaic BS that almost ruined this show in season 2. I noticed ever since Abraham Higginbotham came aboard this season, the comedy changed immediately (also explains David Cross guest starring).

Ew.

Yeah, at the moment, Modern Family remains the only comedy on the market to actually make me crack the fuck up. Everything else gets merely a smirk and a heh. Even Raising Hope, which is probably my second favorite comedy out there at the moment.

I like the new Lily better than the old one. Luke's also been getting some great lines lately.

When they started screaming at the girl I was borderline suffocating.

What was the joke about her name, though? When Cam said "shut up, Mitchell would just die!". I found it pretty funny but it went over my head I think.

Edit: also the ending was cute as hell. I don't usually like Cam and Mitchell's over the top arcs, but when the social worker or whoever it was opened the door, and Lily had that squirty cream on her head and Cam had it on his shirt, it was just really well done.

What does everybody have against season 2? I haven't given many of those episodes a 2nd run-through, but from what I remember it was equivalent to season 1.

Also, Julie Brown has stepped her Claire game exponentially this season.

I had to watch it again and it was even funnier the second time. I think it's because every character had their own moment to shine. Manny's jokes and and the fact that he tricked Jay, Luke and Phil trying to make the same shot on camera was hilarious to me, and the Streetcar jokes and setups fucking nailed it. Easily the best episode in a long, long, time
