Agneepath trailer reminded me a bit too much of Gangs of New York. Crazy, unstable, charismatic bad guy who kills some local leader opposing him, but takes his kid under his wing, and the kid grows up and tries to avenge his father. But regardless, I'll definitely watch this for Sanjay Dutt. He looks absolutely menacing.

Haha, can't believe there is a Bollywood OT on gaf. I'm not actually Indian, I mostly got into Bollywood though my mom who was a big fan since she was a kid. So I saw a bunch of movies during the 90s and early 2000s.
One thing I've been obsessed about lately is the mass plagiarism of music that went on back in the day. There's less of it these days, but man it used to be all over the place. Check this site for a bunch of examples : http://www.itwofs.com/ |

Finally saw zindagi na milegi dobara. Good introspective movie. Some of the things were ridiculous such as learning how to skydive/scuba dive in couple of days and there were some continuity errors. Some weak scripting in places too (Katrina showing up intermittently). Other than that, it's really watchable.
Man, Hrithik Roshan's on-screen persona is magnetic. He overshadowed anyone who was in the scene with him. Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar were overshadowed, but it's not their fault. They were really good too. The only other man in Bollywood who can match such a daunting screen presence is none other than Sanjay Dutt. This is why I think Agneepath will go down as one of the best movies ever. Mission Kashmir had those two together, but the movie wasn't all that great. |

I hate David Dhawan soooooooooo much. He's the reason why Bollywood is looked down upon. Cheap slapstick comedy that was around in US in 1930's, completely nonsensical storyline, action sequences where laws of physics are flagrantly disobeyed and mocked, and heroines who are a step more evolved (read: naked) than damsels in distress tied on a railway track. This person is a horrible, horrible man. He not only set back women status, but also set back hindi cinema as a whole.
