No. If they go with numbers again, it'll be 1080. There is zero chance they'll go with 720(P) if they were worried about the stigma of people thinking Xbox 2 was less powerful than Playstation 3.

But for them to release a 360 successor in 2012 it should have been pretty deep in development, right? They would have known that Halo 4 would be coming out at pretty much the same time as the next Xbox and would have been better off as a launch title for quite some time. So, why announce Halo 4 as a 360 game at this E3? Unless you're saying the Wii-U or something made them suddenly bring their plans forward.

And didn't PDZ, Kameo and to an extent Twilight Princess have somewhat troubled development? And they're both cases of the platform holder that lost cashing in their chips and moving titles to the next generation. Microsoft isn't in quite the same position with the 360.
