Whay annoys me is when they state that the manufacturers get all hissy about the accuracy of their cars being in-game and then each iteration has the same faults as the last FFS. Truth is it's all about who spends the most money. |

Count me in.
I love the variety of bends and turns in Forza's tracks, but circuits themselves are very visually unappealing, and that eventually drags things down for me. Of course the tracks Forza makes up from whole cloth look pretty damn nice. The most stellar audio/visual driving experience this generation for me has to be speeding through GT5's Nordschleiffe in the dead of night while slowly transitioning to daybreak. Absolutely glorious and worth the price of admission alone (and the only reason I turn it on from time to time now). If I could hold anything up to Turn 10 as inspiration, it would be that. |

Got the new videos up:
50 Days of (Green) Hell Day 44 - BMW 1 Series M Coupe I have been disappointed with the evolution of the M3 from a lightweight corner-carver into an overweight luxury sports car, but this car has made me have some faith in BMW again. This is the true spiritual successor to the E30 M3, and a better "M3" than the last couple generations. It is light, nimble, understated and with just enough horsepower to have fun. No V8 needed here, just a brilliant I6 with the perfect amount of power and torque. This car is the definition of driving fun and I hope the lap shows it. This car is so easy to drive fast and it will respond immediately to whatever you want it to do. There is a reason BMWs are called "The Ultimate Driving Machines" and this car just proves that at every corner. 50 Days of (Green) Hell Guest Drive 41 - Ford GT Mc Kane is the man driving this American supercar. |

Also, again IIRC, some manufacturers provide CADs as well. |

Got the new video up:
50 Days of (Green) Hell Day 45 - Dodge Shelby Omni GLHS Neal Stephenson described the Dodge Omni thusly: "Sure, spend three times as much and you could get a car that goes a little faster, but who is seriously going to thrash a vehicle that costs that much? Who'll risk denting it? But if it's an Omni, who cares?" And he was right, this car was the perfect little sleeper. It didn't look dangerous or even interesting, but that little 4 banger would move that car faster than most people would expect. This is the dad to the Neon SRT/4 in many ways and it drives more competently than even the designed expected. You can thrash this car around and it just enjoys it. The ratios are a bit longer than they should be, but it sounds like no other 4 cylinder in the game. Throaty and mean, with just a hint of exhaustion; like the engine is tuned to the absolute limit. This is a great, fun car and this lap was a blast. |

Just wanted to say that I've been loving these videos Shortt. They're much appreciated and I've even learned some techniques from watching the various ways people attack the Nordschleiffe.
If you're looking to do more of these after the first 50 days what do you think of Fujimi Kaido? Its another long, gorgeous track that could showcase a variety of different driving styles and techniques. Just a suggestion as it seems I've needed to put as much time and effort into learning that monster as I have with the Nordschleiffe. That and I'd like to see some drift action for those who have the chops. Trying to break my teeth on those techniques lately, and its a ton of fun to experiment with.
Oh and one random question for Forza vets out there. When racing (say in career), do you prefer to take a stock setup for a car that matches the class requirements, or upgrade a lower class car? I've almost always run with stock cars for a class but am just now starting to get into more upgrades and basic tuning (tire compound, adjustable suspension, alignment tweaks) and while I can tweak things to my liking I still get outclassed in terms of top speed a lot of the time. Any advice?

But I like the idea of using Kaido next. I love that course and it would be fun in the lower HP cars that wouldn't work on The Ring. I will definitely consider it. Yeah, I didn't even realize I was out until I was working on this one last night. I thought I had more, but it appears I am out of Guest Drivers! I only need another 8 videos to finish up the Guest Drives. I was lucky enough to get a code last night, so I am going to probably finish the last 5 cars with DLC cars. I haven't decided what car should be my 50th run. Should it be the Venom or the Sprinter Van? |

As for top speed, there are very few tracks where that's as important as handling. |

1) Suspension 2) Brakes 3) Weight Reduction 4) Tires And then I mess with power/transmission/etc after those. I would rather have a light, underpowered car that screams around corners than a heavy, too-powerful car that can't stop spinning it's tires. |

Can't blame you there man! BioShock has to be one of my favorite series in video games, right behind Fallout. The 2nd one was pretty good, but the first is still the best. The DLC for 2 was incredible though, so make sure you grab that. Minerva's Den I think it was called.

2-Transmission 3-Tires 4-Differential 5-Camshaft That's basically my 'go to' upgrades. I like having control over my gearing and handling characteristics. The camshaft does shift the power band but it's easily corrected with shorter diff gears depending on power range. What I love about Forza is how every tiny adjustment in the tuning can either increase or hamper performance. I mean, you can have the perfect suspension hardness but if you add just a tiny more, it can completely ruin the setup. I really admire this aspect. Some games, the incremental changes in tuning are too wide before any difference is felt, not so with Forza. |

So, tire compounds I understand. I also understand the basics of alignment but it can still be tricky to know which adjustments to make based upon feedback in game, although adjusting camber and toe seems relatively straight-forward. Same with differentials. I grock the concept, but I have a hard time "feeling" what adjustments I need to make just from in-game feedback. No matter how much time I put into this game I still feel like I'm only scratching the surface, and that's mostly a positive ;P |

Got the new videos up:
50 Days of (Green) Hell Day 46 - Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII This is THE definition of a British Roadster. RWD, light, 2 seater, convertible and just enough horsepower to have fun. This is nowhere near the fastest car in the game, but it doesn't matter. Driving this car with the top down and listening to that awesome roar from the carbureted six-cylinder is automotive bliss. It doesn't really have much horsepower, but the car is just set up so well that it is always fun. I really dig this car and the cockpit view is amazing with that classic wood grain! 50 Days of (Green) Hell Guest Drive 42 - Range Rover Supercharged Dead Poul continues this British Day with the Supercharged Range Rover. This is definitely worth the watch, if only to see the best ending in the series! |

So here is a little something I've prepared for you guys for the New TopGear DLC, everything is already on the storefront, so if anyone has an early code can go and grab it right away, just remember to rate it if you take. Most of you would expect the Venom from me, but not this time, this time is a little different but I'm not saying I won't do it in the near future ;)
A little something for a little car... ![]() ![]() ![]() Something fresh for the old boy... ![]() ![]() ![]() Something for people that can't stay on road... ![]() ![]() ![]() And something that people use for any other purpose than the one it was build for... ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, I did some work on Cortina but it won't be ready for tomorrow, maybe Thursday, I'll See ho much spare time I'm gonna have. Some traditional Lotus colors to begin with ... (WIP picture) ![]() So I hope you gonna find at least one paint worth getting, have a great night and I'll be back soon... Cheers, HD |

Hey Saladine, you should check out my mates Store Front. He has a mustang king cobra (I know, but bare with me) in Marlboro livery, looks exactly like the A9X Torana (although, my "Marlboro" is better :-)
You should check it out. Search "CWO83" If its not there, let me know and I'll get him to chuck it up. |

Considering that there's been at least a Ford in every DLC except one so far, maybe you can still hope for some Aussie Ford love.
Amazing liveries H3rtZ, as always ! :o I'll try to take some track action pictures of them when I get the DLC. :) Speaking of which, when does it go live usually ? |
