nope, assetto corsa early access just came out thoughIs there any way of getting this on PC nowadays? I tried a few months back and registration was locked down. Is ebay or the buy/sell thread an option, or do they have a way of protecting against that? I'm dying to try this out on my new gpu.
did you use a pad? you really have to use a wheel to experience AC but its pretty much the best physics out there, MUCH better than CARS atmOriginally Posted by fresquito
I've been hearing people praise this game forever. A long time ago I tried it and couldn't even complete a lap. Braking was a nightmare and taking turns was painful. What's so good about it?
Yup, it pretty much sucks with a pad, but I could still feel the underlying physics be absoutely fantastic, at least on the E30. The early access felt a bit rough still though, but I've no doubt it has some of the best physics we've seen.did you use a pad? you really have to use a wheel to experience AC but its pretty much the best physics out there, MUCH better than CARS atm
If I remember correctly, I tried it with a wheel. I don't know about the physics, but I sure had a lor problems controlling my car.did you use a pad? you really have to use a wheel to experience AC but its pretty much the best physics out there, MUCH better than CARS atm
I think they are putting too many tree leaves, I would put dirt instead of many tree leaves.Originally Posted by OatmealMu
It looks like the car's running over potato chips. Definitely has a ways to go.
Historic F1 comparison of graphics and driving between Assetto Corsa and Project CARS (pre-Alpha). This is a lap at Silverstone (international version) with the Lotus 49 in both.

The physics are a little similar, the Lotus 49 in pCARS has more grip.
Yeah, its really sweet. Most special car for me. Pretty fun to drive as well.Really nice to see this LMP1 car, starting out as a community design contest, in-game. It's one of the better things coming out off this community project, hope that German track makes it as well.
SMS RMW P30 at Northampton with Spanish comentaries.

Not only he but also the ingame tools got better over the time AFAIK.Member that likes video editing and definitely got better at it over the two years he's been doing it (see for some older ones in the OP)
But yes, this guy really has some talent, fantastic trailer.
I especially like how his cuts fit the music, I saw a lot worse "professional" trailers.
+10 for Muse.
Hope this will be glorious on PS4.
JonZ 's trailers really are fantastic. I think that's such a cool way to contribute.

You know you have followed the progress of the game to much when you can see all the flaws, things still to be done, in those little gifs :P
Talking about that, for those members that do not follow it that closely, Rob posted his latest This Week in Project CARS - 2013/23
And one more MUSE ;)

Played with a 360 pad so jerky steering. Sorry if it makes you sick.

If this is marketed and developed appropriately, it could easily overtake Drive Club as the go-to racer on PS4 imo.
Drive club is pretty and has flair/polish, but its not a Gran Turismo in terms of depth (tuning/physics) I don't feel.
pCars seems a lot closer to a PS4 Gran Turismo than DC imo and lord knows when next gen playstation owners are actually going to see a next gen Gran Turismo. There's a lot of free space to capitalise on there.
Good stuff. Loved seeing the brake line move around, and stretch on the Lotus's brakes. Very neat.Originally Posted by Watevaman

Suspension on the Ariel (?) looked great, L49 always feel that car (tub(e)??) should be slightly higher, more movement from max to min., but maybe that is just the ride height.

I hope you enjoy it!
Also in that video, I realized that I never noticed the mountains in the background coming out of the tunnel. Holy shit that's breathtaking.

I've been trying the RUF and wow, what a fun car to drive. I don't know how to drift properly, but I have a hell of a time with pretending. I will soon record a video.
