Pretty much turned me off to video game books in general, but once I beat ICO I might give the Ico book a chance. |

Here's my collection, unless I'm missing something:
![]() Zork Chronicles - probably hard to find, very silly and quirky. My cat ate the cover. =( X-Com - I remember it being pretty decent, also probably hard to find now. Myst: The Book of Atrus - excellent Gabriel Knight - terrible (loved the game though) Halo: Contact Harvest - got bored, never finished it Halo: Fall of Reach - very good Deus Ex: Icarus - currently reading it, no real opinion Crysis Legion - kind of terrible |

I have the first collection of Warcraft novels. I haven't read all of them, but Day of the Dragon was meh and the book at the end, by Metzen (who I actually think is a great game developer and awesome person) was really bad. Seriously, I swear the word "he was a paladin" was said every 3-4 paragraphs.
That said, I really want to read the Diablo books because I adore the setting. I worry that after DotD that Knaack wouldn't be able to give me the same atmosphere I see in the games. |

I just ordered a bunch of Mass Effect books and the Bioshock book. Hope they are good. Metro 2033 was incredibly immersive. Too bad the sequel apparently sucks. I never got the game to start on Vista 64 though.
I dont know about Stalker but Metro 2033 has about 60 fan fiction books written all in Russian I'm afraid. Are the Doom books any good?
