Wow, she's a keeper. What guitar did she get you?

And always good to see more people getting into Rocksmith, was not expecting much from this game but it delivers a bunch. Enjoy!

Has there been any mention specifically about DLC support for next-gen consoles for games like this?
Next gen consoles haven't even been announced so of course there is no word on what would happen if they decide to make a next gen Rocksmith. Perhaps they will do something like Rock Band were all your previous songs from other games will add onto the new one. I wouldn't be too worried about it though, surely they'll do something. And if they don't then eh, still a long whiles off before a new Rocksmith and nothing will stop you from playing this one.

Has there ever been a date for the Euro release of this game yet? I might just wait and see if the updated retil version comes out here too.

Rocksmith will release with both guitar and bass modes on disc in Europe on October 12th. It will also re-release in North America with both guitar and bass mode on the disc on October 16th.

Will this cable reduce the audio and video lag for Rocksmith? I have audio and video through HDMI at the moment. I'm doing some recon for the european release.

Woops! Well, I solved it by buying an audio adapter that I'll just hook into the reciever. Do you think it could solve my problems with audio lag on dvds that I play on the 360 too?

most likely yes it will be much better.
You might have to run the reciever in game mode or direct to avoid postprocessing of the audio stream which will add latency

One of these days they'll release something that I would be willing to listen to, much less play. But that day does not seem any closer.

Hey guys, I need someone to guide me.

I always wanted to learn playing a guitar.

I got a new job recently and I won't have time to play much games anymore however I came across rocksmith and I need someone to guide me. I would rather spend some time with RockSmith and learn something.

I am in Canada, I have a PS3 and 360, should I look for the bundle with Guitar or get the game and cord and buy a Guitar separately?

Can you provide any good Guitar, I am totally clueless.

Without a budget its hard to give any recommendation, but the Yamaha Pacifica 112V is a pretty good starter guitar. Runs around 250 euro's, so probably around the same in dollars?

Buying a good guitar would make a huge difference. Schecter and Ibanez offer good bang for buck, I think.

been playing this on my crappy ol' squier stratocaster. Obviously it's not a great guitar, but I am not much of a guitar player (I play bass--can't wait for the update--and usually only play acoustic guitar)

Anyway, I have tried playing Ducks and all that but for some reason when I hold the 3rd fret on the E string, half of the time it registers as the 4th fret. Bleh. Maybe my guitar needs adjusting? I don't know anything about guitars really, and when it comes to bass I just play. Then again to a professional my bass probably sounds like shit. I've been playing it for years in a band in Chicago and never really messed with anything other than replacing the strings a couple of times. I should learn how to do setup and maintenance one day.

Thinking of starting to save up for a nice Epiphone Casino guitar, although it'll probably take quite a while to save up the cash for one.

My biggest problem is that my PS3 is hooked up to my TV via HDMI and I am using the TV speakers, so there is a slight delay. Oh well.

i'm interested in this, semester like a nice way to practice my bass skills. How's the song selection? I'm guessing it's mostly rock? Or is there a decent collection of funk and soul as well?

Your opinion of the track selection depends on your musical tastes.
Being Rocksmith, it's mostly Rock.
New tracks come out like clockwork, usually 3 every two weeks.

Check the Wikipedia entry for titles, it's up to date.
