I was super excited to learn that the Boxer Rebellion are in this. Great that more people are getting exposed to such a great band.

I was playing Geometry Wars 2 the other day (which I suck at BTW), dying, restarting, dying, eyeing the leaderboards, improving little by little. I had to ask myself, "Why do I like this so much? What is it about these blinking lights and numbers that drives me to improve when the only tangible reward is a slightly delayed, but inevitable death? Why can't I apply this mindless dedication towards something productive?" I approached the next day with new-found optimism and perspective. I then proceeded to do nothing of note and ended my evening playing more Geometry Wars.
Rocksmith is probably the only thing that has tapped into that weird, obsessive, video-gamey part of my psyche and allowed me to apply it to something somewhat useful. I think that's pretty remarkable. |

I heard this game operates on pitch. Is that true? If so can I use my electric 3string dulcimer on this game. I'd really like that.
Heres a pic. ![]() Its got a Dimebucker bridge and an Invader neck model neck pickup (the jazzy one in the set, not the high resistance crunchy one). I would've run the full Invader set for maximum resistance, but the Invader bridge didn't sound as nice as the Dimebucker IMO so I used it for the nice stuff since it could actually deliver a cleaner tone on its mids than the Invader would've. It all mahogony and I can't tell what my luthier made its banding out of. DAD tuning currently running fat strings to get a more guitar-like sound out of dulcimer style play. Mixolydian scale...think G major and you got it. If Rocksmith operates on pitch then I'll make the investment since it'll give me another outlet to practice and a pretty decent way to chart my progress. |

Sorry to ask so many questions, but this could be a pretty good tool if I can be certain it won't crap out my scores due to lack of strings once I figure out notation conversion for it. If theres a mode that'll only attempt to score me for accuracy across 3 strings then I'm set. |

I really hope that Ubisoft puts a bit more of their marketing clout behind this game. There's been hardly any hype at all. Still hasn't been reviewed by the majority of gaming sites.
I'm worried that this is being sent out to die. I NEED this game to be popular enough to justify a good long run of dlc. |
