i disagree with the 'uconn as national runner up' pic in the OP. should be the CATS as we are really the 1(b) preseason team to UNC's 1(a) -- which will get fixed when we beat them again in Rupp (we defend our house under Cal!)

This is going to be his breakout year. He may be 260 but the dude is down to something like 9% body fat. He is going to make a Greg Oden-like impact this year, minus the glass bones.

I've been concerned that he's not a good enough coach to win a NCAA title but he's certainly got enough talent coming in that IU should be a Top 20 team every year again. He already has commits from 2 of the top players in 2014 (one of whom is going to be a one and done).

We'll know early enough how good this team is. They have a tough schedule this year, but this is a far cry from the Jirsa years.

We are receiving votes in the AP poll

A lot is unknown about our team due to the fact that a lot of our best players were not playing last year. Most of the media outlets have not quite caught on.

We are VERY deep. There is only like one player on the bench that will not see significant playing time.

We bring back the CUSA freshman of the year and in my opinion the best point guard in the league in Pitts. We only lost one important player, but gained Justin Coleman, Yous Mbao, and numerous others.

Coleman was a top 50 recruit and Mbao is 7'2". We added 2 of the top 20 JUCO recruits and the team looked stacked from the little I have seen.

Of course there is a major difference between potential and actuality, but we have the potential to go as far as we want this year.

Last year we should have been at the top of the NIT, but due to little name recognition we were not even selected. We had a higher RPI than all of the NIT #1 seeds.

Memphis' coach has already been quoted as saying Marshall is the CUSA favorite in his mind.

Bucks are going to be NICE this year, I have been to a bunch of practices, and talked to Sully a lot this season.

Dude is a beast, he is so much more athletic then he was last year. Losing lighty is going to hurt from a leadership standpoint, but Craft is one of the best on ball defenders I have ever seen.

I was referring more to his overall attitude that we've seen this far rather than making predictions about what impact he'll have this year. Personally I think he's going to be one of the best players in the NCAA this season but that's just my opinion.

Also UNC still can't shoot the damn ball.
