Melky will most likely go back to sucking again but I fully expect Sanchez to keep on being Ollie Perez.

Yep, confirmed. Giants trade Jonathan Sanchez to the Royals for Melky Cabrera. The Royals also get minor league pitcher Ryan Verdugo.

Royals still have the pieces to get another starter. Wonder what team they contact next.

That is an amazing trade for the Giants. Really well done.
And lol at David Wright being worth a Trout. Bourjos would be a great piece to get, but Wright isn't even worth that much. |

Actually I'm more talking about trading Wright than getting Mike Trout.
... so if you could get 1 year of prime Pujols, you wouldn't trade a Trout? |

Is the minor league pitcher the Giants sent over any good?

Cuddyer is looking for 4 years and $52 million. The Twins are apparently (stupidly) willing to go up to 4 years and $40 million.
I hope Amaro can save Bill Smith from himself and fast. |

Frank is right that you don't trade Wright now. But for me it's all about that one-year team option. I'm also hoping the fences moving in help him a bit.

You don't trade Wright because he isn't worth anything. There is nobody vastly superior coming out at the third base position. At this point there is no reason to abandon the contract.

wright is still a .275/.350/.480 hitter at worst when healthy. He is like a crippled Chipper Jones at 40.

Werd, and we have no real good offensive talent ready to step in next year. The Mets need to give Fernando Martinez a chance. If not, trade his arse. The guy is still only 22 years old.

to be fair, Fernando Martinez would make a good ball boy. Have you seen the giants ball "boys"? they need all the help they can get.

Bill Smith is out as Twins GM. Terry Ryan is stepping in as interim GM. I am so happy I could cry.
